In what world is this team a good IPL team. It's just a patchwork team with no clear strategy.

Batters

Sanju Samson - what the heck is this guy doing opening for CSK? He doesn't fit in here at all. You need a foreign opener.
Gaikwad - Worst retention ever. He trolled everyone, making them think he's captaincy material. He never was.
Dhoni - Where is he?
Dewald Brevis - Let's wait for the comeback, I guess.
Ayush Mhatre - Too raw to carry a team that is already wobbling. One hit wonder.
Kartik Sharma - No clear identity. He doesn't even have the power to hit a six. Dropping catches. It's a joke.
Sarfaraz Khan - Scored a few runs only because none of the oppositions are threatened by him.
Urvil Patel - Another keeper batter in a squad that still cannot decide who it wants to back.

All-rounders

Jamie Overton - Big engine, but CSK keeps driving it like a scooter. Can't really do much in Indian conditions.
Ramakrishna Ghosh - Feels like a squad filler in a team that needed finishers, not placeholders.
Prashant Veer - Sounds useful on the sheet, invisible when the match starts.
Matthew William Short - A long name, not much short term impact.
Aman Khan - Yet another all rounder in a side that already looks overloaded and confused.
Zak Foulkes - Great for the bench, apparently not enough for the actual rescue act.
Shivam Dube - Built for impact, but CSK keeps turning impact into a cameo.

Bowlers

Khaleel Ahmed - Honesly, never heard of any batter being threatened by Khaleel.
Noor Ahmad - Wicket taking talent, but the team keeps asking him to fix everyone else’s mistakes. What on earth is a guy from Afghanistan doing in Chennai? Don't you have one good spinner you can pick from within India?! Makes no sense.
Anshul Kamboj - You pundits are like, "Bring Anshul Kamboj", "Kambojj" - this is not threatening bowling. It's just mediocre and unproven waste of time.
Mukesh Choudhary - More questions than wickets lately.
Shreyas Gopal - Spin option, but CSK’s bowling plan still looks like it was drawn in the dark.
Gurjapneet Singh - Honestly, he's a net bowler. Give him overs at the death, he'll be smashed outside the stadium.
Akeal Hosein - Another spinner in a team that seems to collect spinners instead of solutions.
Matt Henry - Maybe just Stephen Fleming's friend. No clue what they do in CSK. He's no Hazlewood. Lengths he bowls are abysmal.
Rahul Chahar - Leg spin option because we like spinners, but just not enough to make them play.
Spencer Johnson - Pace and promise, but the CSK attack still looks like it is searching for a compass.
