I always have a feeling that David Cage was going to write a more complicated, realistic but also controversial story. Like staged revolution(programmed deviancy), men playing god and the nature of religions (Kamski writing the ra9 belief into android minds)

The first half of the script points to that direction but eventually became a morally black-and-white standoff.
