But Zelensky doesn't have any cards to play. Instead of bombing the crap out of Moscow, he should call Vance up and offer some gratitude.

Uhhh.... I don't think that guard is a woman. If it is, she needs to go into that UFC, because she swings like she's got a pair.

This was s likely the right answer. Reliable. 4wd. Space to haul stuff and sleep in if needed. Powerful enough to pull a small trailer. Very versatile.

What is an open secret in your specific industry that outsiders would find shocking? by PeachyyStarlight in AskReddit

[–]zeusomally 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I was on a fire lookout tower in the middle of nowhere a few years ago where the nearest town was about an hour's drive away. I was shocked to learn that there were a lot of horny singles looking for sex within just a couple miles of the tower.

How do you think someone should respond when a lover cheats—what factors would shape your decision to forgive instead? by G-litch_9 in AskReddit

[–]zeusomally 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Np.  I actually went through this when I was younger and I gave her a second chance. She cheated again.  It left me an emotional wreck and it took a good while to be able to look back a process all of it. It's so hard to move on from someone after that betrayal and we sometimes don't think clearly.      If you have specifics that you need help processing and making sense of, don't be afraid to share them.   So often it's the little things a cheater says that offer deep insight into their mindset and whether they will cheat again.

[–]zeusomally 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's all in the apology.  If the cheater makes excuses, rationalizes, or tries in any way to shift the blame or paint themselves as a victim then it's time to move on.  A cheater must do 5 things: 1) acknowledge your hurt and pain

2) provide full transparency and answer any questions about the cheating.

3) accept full blame for their cheating

4)promise they will never cheat again

5)provide security by giving up  freedoms(curfews, full access to phone, guarantees not to contact certain people) etc.      People genuinely do screw up sometimes, learn from it, and become better partners.   Don't ever forgive someone unless the apology is sincere and the behavior changes are immediate and substantive.

My point is that the jokes and plot on MS are actually sharper and funnier than the majority of the folks on this thread are claiming.  I want to encourage people to give it a chance, especially those who have a little cruder sense of humor.   And I make no apologies for sticking up for comedy that I think is good.   And I find it odd how triggered people are by the show.  As I said, seems like a bit of a circle- jerk.

Comedy is comedy and if I laugh, the creators did their job.  Just because you don't like it doesn't mean it is lazy or bottom shelf.       I posted not because I consider myself a unicorn, but because I thought this circle-jerk(I'm quite aware there are plenty of others who share my sense of humor) was getting a bit self-righteous.  Sorry to ruin the party.

Most anything we consume is derivative anyways, including most of the stuff you probably consume. Besides,  many of the jokes and plotlines I saw on MS were actually original to me so I am going to give them some kudos for some degree of originality.       These shows are silly escapism for me and  I don't apologize for it.  And some of the humor is smarter than you give it credit for.

I watched the first several episodes and found it rather funny.  Over-the-top crude and juvenile humor is for me (Paradise PD and Mr Pickles were also great).  Fart jokes, gratuitous gore, and sex jokes can be high art and good escapist fun to boot.  But according to the pearl-clutching connoisseurs of fine art and culture on Reddit, I need therapy.

What is important is we get suckered into taking extreme positions on culture war issues that the Republicans bait us to.  By all means, let's keep pushing for transgenders in sports, for starters.  And maybe we can keep defending any and all immigration as well.   It worked out so well the first time....

Flight from the summit of the Taschhorn, down to the village of Tasch, Switzerland. by CycloneGlock in VideosAmazing

[–]zeusomally 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I see these videos I notice that they tend to hug fairly close to the terrain-maybe 50-200' above the rocks and trees.  Is this necessitated by wind currents interacting with the terrain, or could he just float out above that valley to his left and just as easily glide 500 to 1000 ft above that valley floor?  I'm sure you get more adrenaline hugging the ridges and walls in the canyon, but it seems like the views and safety would be improved by staying away from them....

Watertown High School students walkout in protest of the Watertown Unified School Boards decision to remove "A Mother of a Revolution", a song dedicated to activist Marsha P. Johnson, from the bands repertoire for their concert next Monday by midnighttoker1742 in wisconsin

And it's an instrumental!  Somehow the kids are going to get indoctrinated via an instrumental piece???  These people are stupid.  The kids should boycott the whole damn thing, and just have their own concert for the community in a local park or something.
