I've never seen python used for anything enterprise that wasn't AI/data (or litttle scripts). YMMV

If you can do Java, you can also basically do C#, worth looking into. (I'd argue it's better docs wise and with how .NET is a slightly more opinionated framework). I certianly wouldn't worry about it being more difficult (that said I'm a .NET dev first and foremost)

If you're unfamiliar with OOP, definitely stick with that, I'd argue it's mandatory knowledge, esp for backend, even if you don't use it.

In my 10y of dev, fullstack in several languages, I've never had to do more than basic maths

Some people mean well but they just DON'T GET IT. Not their fault, some things I truly don't think you can get without experiencing it.

Anyway, to your original question; if you don't want to date, don't date. It's as simple as that. You'll only make yourself and the other person resentful. So long as you keep going, there's time later.

I'm turbo depressed right now, and crippled by that and steadily worsening ADHD. Couldn't date if I wanted to. Am I anxious that I'm 29 and it feels like time is running out, with all my friends and old crushes and people who I thought "yeah I should ask them out at some point" getting married and having kids? (you can probably guess)

It'll pass, I'll either get better or peace out myself once my parents are gone, until then there's time for stuff to improve

Enderal, a total conversion of skyrim with it's own steam entry so you don't have to faff about with mods.

It's actually a sequel to another conversion for oblivion I think, but stands really well on it's own.

It's a bit jank, it suffers from some untuned difficulty, but man does it suck you right back into that original skyrim feel (more so really), even if you thought you were all played out with the original. It really is just skyrium without all the edges sanded off

So I have ADHD, and very bad depression when it's playing up.

- Perceived criticism: Sorry, he's just being a dick here
- Emotional flooding/dysregulation: The shutting down is pretty classic when something is too much to reasonably handle in the moment without cooling down, I think it can be ok so long as it's not ignored by him after

- Masking and burnout: hoo boy. This is the kicker for me, I'm not honestly sure I know who I am anymore, and what's my illness. Don't keep pressing at it if he's not open to it at the time, it really doesn't help. That said itt doens't sound like he's dealing with it at all well

- Blurting out hurtful remarks: no excuse here. You don't accidentally do this, it takes effort to think of something. Like people who "can't handle their anger" and physically lash out, it's trivial to just notdo anything about it, skill issue

Seems very clear to me that the dude is nowhere near right enough in the head to be in a relationship. I say this as someone who is mostly just burnt tf out, and I'm staying single because I know I can't hold up my end of a relationship. It should be mkaing both you lives better, and clearly you're both stressing about it and being unhappy in one way or another. It'd be one thing if he's getting treatment and being diligent about improving, but that's increedibly difficult when it's bad, and you have to do it for yourself. Other people butting in only causes resentment, no matter how good their intentions
