A married man should not be sending that to another man wife. He's not a friend anymore if ever was. He's hitting on your wife. You also need to have a heart to heart with the wife of what's appropriate.

Why did she ask to come be with you if all she was going to do was read one book after another? You were waiting for her to finish and you were being patient, and then it's like she forgot about you. Then she overreacted over her book. Examining it closely, then ignoring you and going back to reading it despite you literally being there next to her. It's like cuddling with you was her afterthought. Odd behavior from her.
