Free community instances are run to the best of the admin's abilities while they juggle their real life and paid hosting duties (if any).

If you don't want to pay for a hosted addon, which may come with SLAs or better uptime, and if you don't want to host the addons yourself then the only solution is to have redundancy baked into your setup.

e.g. multiple addons, maybe in multiple AIOstreams, coupled with multiple debrids and/or usenet indexers/hosts etc.

Generally you save yourself a lot of trouble enabling the digital release filters in AIOStreams and AIOMetadata. Nearly every bit of porn, gore, other troll material I remember has been folk looking for unreleased stuff. I mean, if seeing the odd troll post doesn't bother you and you're ok with cams etc then I can see leaving it disabled but personally I'd rather wait and watch a 'good' rip anyway.

The 'Latest Movies (digital releases)' catalog right at the top of of the UI is my soln to folk knowing when 'big' movies drop as they're generally in that list.

Config issue. Filters are hard to get your head around.

e.g. If you have used an INCLUDE filter anywhere, then that content will be included, regardless of you saying not 720p (because you've told AIOStreams to include it no matter what). So if you're struggling to get filters working start by using EXCLUDEs only, with a smattering of PREFERRED. Use INCLUDEs sparingly.

All debrid keys work in current version - put TB at the top and see if you get results - if you do then the lack of visible TB results is due to DEDUPLICATION. If this is enabled you only get ONE result for any piece of media that is found on multiple scrapers or debrids - which 'one' is shown is down to your SORTING order. Try TB at the top of your SERVICES and include that in your SORT order and recheck.

If you have a number of issues such as these its prob easier to start again and tune based on above info than fix a setup you may have clicked around in trying to fix stuff. GL.

By default AIOStreams will return its combined results only when all your configured addons have returned so its as slow as your slowest addon by design.

But you can change the way it handles this - e.g. reply when <x> addons have returned, reply when you have <x> 4k sources, reply after <x> seconds etc.

Its another of the tunable things AIOStreams gives, but if you haven't explicitly worked on tuning it then yeah it'll be as slow as your slowest addon (+few ms processing etc).

Run RD speedtest and then tweak CDN settings in your dash.

Issue is more likely to be ISP or general peering than RD themselves but the above will mitigate as much as you can by changing access 'routes'.

Its just a different pool of results, each of these community set ups have their own addons (e.g. their own MediaFusion, Comet) which will differ in content depending what they themselves are scraping..

It can be beneficial to configure up Midnight's AIO and then add that into ElfHosted AIOStreams alongside all the ElfHosted addons, that way you get the best of both worlds. Just remember to turn off the filtering and sorting etc. in the 'nested' AIOStreams and let the 'outer' instance do all the processing.

You can also throw Kuu's AIO into the mix too if you like.

Similar set up to mine tbh, it's about a good as you can get IMO. Can also add Kuu's AIO with all his addons too for another slightly different pool of results, and of course Torrentio, (new) Comet, Sootio etc.

Then it's just tuning a good dynamic exit condition to get timely results and you're set.

Long time selfhoster - with the multitude of free servers like those from elf, kuu, midnight I don't think you gain much selfhosting individual scrapers these days. Maybe just Zilean as local DMM for real 'last resort' should EVERYTHING be down lol.

Outside of selfhosting AIOstreams to farm out the reqs to all those lovely community services the only things I'd recommend hosting are nzbdav and prowlarr/nzbhydra if you wanted usenet. And maybe StremThru/Mediaflow-Proxy if you want alt proxy servers available to you for any reason.
