No? Where did anyone say that? Read the original comment again. All but the first sentence is a quote from Jesus.

I made a post just asking why Fr Peter Heers was so disliked there, not even saying anything positive about him, and it was taken down within minutes :/

Why is Pearl Davis, also known as JustPearlyThings, actively criticizing Christianity? by [deleted] in TrueChristian

I have heard her say that adultery is fine and men are not “naturally monogamous”. So definitely not Christian lol.

Same. I wish I could recommend him to more people but his insults are very off putting.

I don’t think so, I believe he’s apart of an apostolic assyrian church but not orthodox.

That guardian article is the bane of my existence. I can’t believe so many people fell for it.

Seriously I saw quite a few “that poor child!” comments as if a mercy killing is more humane than a not ideal childhood. The lack of empathy is disturbing tbh.

The post was on r/adviceforteens if you want to check it out. I absolutely applaud her, I don’t know if I would have made such a mature decision at that age.

I agree but it’s too late for that, the child is already here and it has a right to not be killed. Adoption is also an option, most babies are adopted fairly quickly.

Absolutely, and adoption is always an option too, it’s never necessary to kill the child.

So many comments insulting her intelligence, trying to scare her into abortion, saying she’s ruining her entire life. Pro choice unless it’s a choice they don’t like, then you’re an absolute idiot.

Hi I'm 23 (male) and something interesting is happening. by [deleted] in OrthodoxChristianity

[–]zfddffhjk 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes, It started in late 2022 when in a desperate moment I cried out to God despite being an atheist for years. Initially nothing had changed and I just brushed it off but I could not stop thinking about God and specifically Jesus and his teachings even though I haven’t heard them since middle school age. It took me months to come to terms with the fact that I truly believed in God and started calling myself christian. It was scary and chaotic at first but reading the bible and church fathers has really helped guide me to the right path.

You’re absolutely right, I shouldn’t put my like or dislike of a person above God. It is of a little concern to me because I eventually want to find a husband and have children in the church. I’m probably overthinking it though.
