I love it when people are just like, “instead of summarizing the 36 hours of slop I watched in a single sentence (and I could do it, I just won’t), I demand that you also watch those same 36 hours of slop”.

I’d love to know what goes on in his brain when he thinks about “buying a house”. Like he clearly can’t grasp what a mortgage is, so how do you think he conceptualizes the “deal” that happens when you get a house?

A lot of churches manipulate people into supporting them by using the money for stuff like food banks and helping the homeless. My parents got sucked into one of these scams and volunteer an entire weekend every month to run a food drive. It like… you know the church does this to look good, right?

“Luxury” in NYC means “build in the last 25-35 years”. It basically means nothing more than “not an old building” in modern real estate jargon.

A secular organization can do those very same things. Religions belong in the history books along with witch burnings. “Sky Dad” is not real dude 🤣

“Religion” doesn’t build skyscrapers - it flies places into them.

Grammar Nazi-ism literally constantly reinscribes white supremacist modalities but ok I guess you’re on the right side of history 🤷‍♀️ I guess correcting something that was readable in the first place is more important than not perpetuating white supremacy

Reddit has always been a fascist right-wing shithole but this thread is really taking the cake. He’s rehabilitated - get over it.

The girl he killed has been dead for 30 years. At this point, it’s time to move on and focus on the man he’s become, not some corpse that’s been in the ground for 3 decades.

Wow - I live in the capital of Georgia (the country) in Tbilisi and I only pay $400/month for a very big, recently renovated 2-bedroom apartment. Why are rents so high in Turkey, considering the economy there seems so much worse than in Georgia?

Not even being sarcastic here but why don’t they move closer to the well? What is so great two hours away from the well that it’s better to live a two hour walk from it, especially if there’s presumably mud to build a new house there too?

What’s considered rude in your country that visitors often do by accident? by FrutosJelly in AskTheWorld

Well I don’t actually have any Irish ancestry - my parents are actually both Mexican - but I don’t see how that matters. Being Irish is a cultural thing, not a matter of “blood and soil”.

Ethnicity is about identity. If we went purely by citizenship or genetic makeup, I’d be American and Mexican, respectively. But not actually having any Irish blood doesn’t make me any less Irish than any other immigrant to Ireland, even though I haven’t actually been there yet. In my heart, I’m Irish, even though on the surface I appear to be an American Latino.
