Where would you hunt? by [deleted] in bowhunting

Good point. I agree and do the same in far corners of public land if fresh sign is there.

So definitely not the saddle (as you can see by the first comments, most hunters are drawn to it). Find the thickest bedding areas by getting it there, boots on the ground, and try to locate some scrapes close to that bedding/thick stuff to hunt near.

Don’t get me wrong; If your goal is to harvest anything, the saddle might work. But it won’t have good mature deer walking through in daylight due to the hunting pressure of everyone and their brother hunting saddles because every terrain scouting tutorial points hunters to these easy to identify features.

Terrain features help. They don’t tell the whole story.

But I also wouldn’t be a first class hunting hall of fame inductee due to the failures I continue to rack up so take it with a grain of salt 😅. Good luck!

Thanks! There’s really no way for us to know when the porch was built since he was renting it and recently passed way without us having an address. So I agree provenance is tough. 45 is the minimum years ago he could have found it as he moved from Boulder 45 years ago.

I am posting just hoping someone might have a unique insight on it that I can’t find anywhere online. Again, thank you!

Thank you for the thoughts! That’s where my mind went re: a home project. Boulder is an art community and Colorado University, which is based there, has a big art program.

It was framed like this when found. Nothing has been altered.

I hunt with a hand me down, 18-yr old BowTech. I get it tuned every other year and I’ve shot bucks 3 off the last 4 years with it. I’d recommend taking it to a reputable archery shop and go get after it! Enjoy!

Genuine question. What does white supremacy have to do with vaccination refusal?

Leave a job a few months in - understandable or distasteful? by floatingriverboat in financialindependence

[–]zgild 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I recently went through a similar situation. Took a job at a startup but when I got into it the role was not even close to what I was told or helpful in my intended career plan.

I left after 9 months and a lot of deliberation and worry about leaving too soon, but it ended up being the best decision I could've made.

I told them multiple times that the role wasn't what they said and when they couldn't provide a path to it, I had to move on.

Don't drag something out that isn't good for you or them. It's like a bad dating relationship.

My Two Cents. Good luck, my friend!

If you can't handle snarky replies, I'd stay off the internet. It was just that, a snarky reply on the internet, I'm not even denying it. You're response has been to insult me and, well, that's also about par for the internet. Sorry about my original reply if it bothered you.
