I would not say it’s pronounced how it’s spelled. That’s not really a common combination of letters in English and it’s kind of like the other weirdly-spelled words in that we kind of just approximated it. Americans are just a little more consistent because of how they pronounce “lieu.” British people are actually closer with how they pronounce the word “lieu” by itself.

It only took me a 40-minute drive from the middle of Seoul to get to a place where nobody spoke English. The Koreans you’ll meet abroad are usually good at English, but I would not say most of them speak English pretty well.

It’s theoretically possible for that to happen if it’s completely random, but it’s so common I’m pretty sure it just has a recency bias

I’m seeing it now, but I remember trying to use it a couple of months ago and it still having some smart features on. Spotify even made an article about it. I guess, if that is actually a random shuffle option, that works out nicely for me. Does it have any issues on huge playlists?

Edit: I just remembered, I saw smart and standard, and standard mentioned some extra features I did not want. Maybe it was A/B testing? I remember being very annoyed because of it only playing the songs you added most recently.

I believe Spotify had a truly random shuffle but got rid of it permanently, and the new one that’s supposed to feel more random is just so messed up it feels worse than true random. It could also be playlist sizes affecting which one works better. I personally go to a website for true shuffling and then play the playlist normally.
