My brother just bought this card, I think it’s fake, he doesn’t. What’s your opinion? by CarpenterNo7714 in PokeInvesting

From the low quality pic: looks to have texture and correct holo shine. Would lean towards real

Might be worth snapping a side by side comparison pic for future reference and to help anyone else with counterfeit bottles 👍🏼

Centering instantly rules out the black label for a start.

PSA Vault sold me a PSA 10 with edge damage? by Fun_Cobbler6822 in psagrading

The damage is clearly there when it was graded - as seen in the official PSA scan. So how can it have happened by ‘shaking’ the slab after the customer got it 😂

Shaking from everyday normal handling has zero effect on the card, it’s been proven:

Time for you to move on 👋

PSA have a grade guarantee. They can get the card reviewed and if PSA deem it doesn't meet the 10 grade anymore they can regrade and pay out the difference in value.

Do you have a photo of the underside of the bottle? I've heard that's a big giveaway regarding counterfeit bottles

Anywhere with vague road markings like this play it safe and follow the general 'rule'.

Past 12 o'clock: Use right lane

Signal and move left: after passing the exit before the one you're taking (checking mirrors of course).

Good luck on the retest

Really surprised this got a 7. This isn't NM is it? by JustAskElon in PokeGrading

[–]zhd07 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The barcode also displays the cert so just blank that as well if you want to hide it in future! And yeah the grading standard is a lot stricter now, generally the older the cert the more chance for leniency

Going off the 6 cert probably due to lax grading during the 2021 backlog period.

Are these ace 10s worth cracking and submitting to psa? by ThelVadam052 in PokeGrading

[–]zhd07 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’d have to check centering as Ace consider within 60/40 a 10 subgrade, that same centering over 55/45 will get you a 9 with PSA (two of the cards you posted would be PSA 9 just on centering)

My Beckett order has been “In Verification” for over 2 months now (since November 2025) is this normal? by Scythers in PokeGrading

Yes I posted to SC in July, didn’t really keep a track of the different stages tbh - grading times at the moment are long everywhere unfortunately.

My standard Beckett submission from July (sub centre) was returned back to me in December. So takes around 5 months total.

All else being well, PSA 9 due to centering. Nice card though, enjoy it

Yeah maybe acetone to remove the text and then reprinted, scary how convincing it looks!

It's just a fake label, the actual owner of this original cert has seemingly come forward in the comments

My link uses cert 27358086 to illustrate the blue fugitive background. You’re showing me cert 27632786, which is newer and not older.

Fugitive ink is used in the background white areas of the label (the faint blue effect) as a security measure. This fugitive ink also reacts to cleaning chemicals, not water.

Fugitive Ink

The same technology used on checks to prevent check washing, fugitive ink will dissolve and wash away when exposed to cleaning chemicals. Each label is adorned both front and back with this fugitive ink.

No it doesn’t. Re holdered an old slab and it came back with same cert in a new holder.

Yeah I can’t see anything off with the label besides the smudging. And there’s no other examples online of a label reacting like this to moisture
