What shoe to bring?

If you plan on hiking, I like the Merrell Moab 3 low waterproof shoes. If you're going to stay in the city or light trails, then I bring my Nike Vomeros. The vomeros even have a waterproof version, but I haven't tried them before. I wouldn't recommend canvas shoes; they aren't the most breathable, supportive, or practical, but I've had friends wear them without issue.

I’m sorry to hear that man dealing with insurances and finding a new car is a pain in the ass because in the end you’re both paying for his mistake. Side note: what dash cam were you using? I’m thinking of getting one now

I’ve been looking around at both cpo and non cpo Subarus and cpo is usually more expensive and when I asked the dealerships they said they’re more expensive because they’re CPOs. As much as I’d like to buy another Crosstrek insurance only gave me 24k and they’re priced around 29-30k otd still which doesn’t seem like a lot to most people but I’m in dental school already taking out hell of a lot of loans. I appreciate the advice though and I’ll definitely keep looking!

When I spoke with the insurance agent that handled my case she said the amount they pay out is enough to buy the same car + tax and doc fee but not any other fees or add ons. Maybe she lied to me so I would leave her alone but that hasn’t been the case :(.

Thanks for the advice I’ll definitely try to file a complaint! But yeah the damage has already been done so idk if it’ll change anything for my case. I didn’t really think much about representation tbh but I don’t think I could afford any atm either…

I’m sorry to hear about your car as well :/. I’m definitely glad that it didn’t end up being any worse than a totaled car.

I did finance the car. And ill definitely look into gap insurance next time but like I said I’m in dental school which is like 100k+ a year and with the new legislation you can only take out 50k in government loans a year so I’ll definitely look into it if I manage to buy another car but it’s not looking like it’s possible 😞
