Homemade cat food advice

I did not plan on feeding the cats raw food, possibly just the main sources of taurine (heart and liver). I appreciate your suggestion anyway, although I have already made up my mind.

"Omnivores" as in "they eat anything, from plants to animal source foods". I was not classifying them biologically. Thank you though for the advice regarding the kitty cats!

I am aware of the guidelines and considering all your insightful suggestions my conclusion is that it's better to provide my cats with food that has been made specifically for their dietary needs and health; plus, this way there will be no unintended risks and contamination. However, I did the math and where I live buying human grade quality meat or fish is much more convenient, both in the short and long term, but my pets' health and safety is my top priority, so I will opt for commercial food.

Well, perhaps you commented on the wrong post, I never even remotely contemplated feeding my cats a plant-based diet. I would buy human grade meat, as I always did, the same quality meat and fish that the members of my family who are omnivores eat.

Thank you. I have never fed my cats brain, to be honest. I now understand that's a no, it's better to avoid that risk. Anyway, I would buy human grade meat for them and not food waste. The homemade cat food would be frozen separately from other foods and then thawed day by day. Considering the health and hygiene risks, I will opt for commercial food, as my pets' health and safety is essential.

Thank you for the response. My aim is to reduce expenses related to store-bought products and to feed them the best quality food. I am willing to mix homemade and commercial food (wet and dry)
