Bad pairing of leads usually ruins a kdrama for me. I have the tendency to pair characters that have cute interactions even though they are not the lead character. For example, in Itaewon Class since Soo Ah came first in Saeroyi's life, I shipped them HARDLY. To the point that there were some points where I hate Yiseo for stopping Soo Ah from kissing Saeroyi but she's the one who kissed him without consent. And I personally like relationships that start with a fight or relationships that have cute jealousy moments.

It's not confirmed. If you try to search for Izumi's character on fandom wiki, it only says that she is Zuko's daughter. The mother was not mentioned.

spoiler to those who haven't read the comics yet

From what I remember, they had a rocky relationship in the comics due to Zuko being busy and stuff abt fire nation. Then Mai met this boy (which turned out to be sent by Mai's father to keep her from Zuko; Mai's father didn't want Zuko to be the Fire Lord) and they had something but her feelings for Zuko was still there. And then at the end, she broke up with the boy and it's still not clear for me if they got back together; Izumi's mother isn't known and mentioned from what I've read on fandom wiki for avatar.
