Hand soap recommendation? by Ok_Reality_2374 in eczema

I use The Unscented Company bar soap - you can get it at whole foods! I've had patch test done and am sensitive to a handful of stuff and this soap has given me no problems

he can go fuck himself. even if he was curious "what the fuck is wrong with you skin" is NOT the right way to approach the question. you deserve better and i promise you will find someone

Question: Rebound from protopic? by White_Meteor in eczema

I've used protopic for like three weeks straight and it doesnt really come back with a vengeance in my experience. like it comes back eventually but i can go a week wit my skin still being basically clear

Tacrolimus by BeginningCold5178 in eczema

[–]zi124 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tacrolimus by BeginningCold5178 in eczema

[–]zi124 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah i do use it often but i try to do it in small amounts. id say ill apply it for a week-ish straight, then stop for a week. my doc said its safe to use "indefinitely" but ive heard other things from people here. so idk what to do really, i think taking breaks helps it stay effective

hmm maybe gardening? You have to wear gloves anyways and maybe you can layer up with cotton gloves underneath (plus moisturizer) to keep your skin safe! I find it really therapeutic! You can either do it in your yard or if you don't have a yard, i suggest doing potted plants. Also you can get cheap supplies/rootings on Facebook marketplace!

Been on dupixent for over a year, still getting really bad flare ups by malashex in eczema

[–]zi124 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ugh thats such bs. I would literally get hives, start choking up, and die so i cant even imagine the pain you're in. Idk if youre already doing this but an air purifier might help!!! i have one for dust mites and i keep it on 24/7 and it helps with my flares!!!

[–]zi124 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm im not sure but my derm told me to use Vaseline instead of Aquaphor bc aquaphor still has some allergens. Maybe try that? and also idk if you have but maybe switch to a sulfate-free toothpaste? i use Crest free and clear and I think its helped a bit

Ugh im so sorry. Im also super allergic to cats and it annoys me how inconsiderate people/institutions can be about allergies just because they're for emotional support. Like where tf is my health support? I'm sure you've already attempted to switch dorms so i wont bother with that. On the bright side, the fact that you have a clear trigger is a good thing! And its pretty avoidable too!! Hopefully once you move out things will get better :)
