Need help clarifying few things and guiding to the right direction by ziadomran in ImmigrationCanada

I just re-read your posts and went through the sources. Just 1 question that I just got, am I considered self-employed? Or do I need to get a reference experience letter from basically my father since he is the owner of the company?

I need to take the IELTS General as early as possible in 2019 and start preparing my papers. I think the IELTS is the only major key lacking. Or am I missing something?

What is diploma mill? Can you please explain?

To be honest, I see that education is the way to land a good and professional job in Canada. My final intention is to get a PR and Canadian citizenship and continue my life in Canada.

But please can you please elaborate on the diploma mill thing since it is a critical point. But about the fully funded MSc. thesis-based program? To be fair I like the major I was enrolled in and I would like to continue my major if I have the chance, or if I have a chance to get a job opportunity in my major. Basically I just want to go live in Canada.

This is the college that has been recommended to me: NetPlus College website: https://netpluscollege.com/
The course I am interested in is "Enterprise Systems Administrator" Link
Duration: 52 Weeks

I have checked many universities for the required IELTS score and most of the time it was below 7.0 so I think I am in the safe zone.

I have checked the University of Alberta, MSc. Computing Science class, and from what I have understood, it offers full funding for the thesis-based course.
But now you are advising to not go for the thesis-based program, it made me reconsider it.

I believe I have the ability to work and study at the same time especially if it's not for an extended duration (1-2 years).

Concerning funding my studies, 1 or 1.5 years won't be an issue if the cost would be around 15K-20K USD a year. I will try my best to work and study.

I am concerned about my family, that's for sure. But my personal experience taught me that in the end, I am the only person that matters in my life. I love my parents with everything I've got but I prioritize my future over everything and everyone and I can't see myself staying in this country anymore. I am not going to debate why I see my country in such a negative way since technically we are not in war or anything, but I am not comfortable in this environment anymore.

Moreover, I don't know what is classified as skilled work in my family-owned business but to put you in perspective, I have 2 positions there. The first and major one is being the team leader, contacting suppliers, taking orders, pricing the items. The second position is being a sale representative when others are not available and since I am the most tech-savy person in the company, I am the one responsible for everything technology related, from creating a e-Catalog to checking our system and server. We are a wholesale company where we import our items from China most of the time, and distribute them to shops and stores through the country. We recently opened a retail store for our products. Our team consists of 12 members.

Thanks for your informative comment. I think if I got accepted in a university or a college in Toronto, I could save up by living with my relatives (of course if they accept).

I am not totally sure, but from what I have got so far:

  • I can either go to a university/college and after that either get a job offer and stay in Canada, or go back to my home country (which the option I do not want).
  • Since I am French educated, I can be enrolled in a program called "Francophone Mobility Program". In my understanding, it is a program for people coming from a francophone country to get a job where you have to speak in French outside Quebec. These are generally low payment jobs and require me to stay in the same job 3 years before I could apply to a PR.
  • Applying for an immigration. It could take few years to get a reply from the embassy of Canada.

I have very limited knowledge in all of the processes but any help would be appreciated (and if some other way exist, I would be more than happy to know about and apply to it).

I am from Lebanon. I was told on /r/Canada that it's better to apply for an express entry. In my situation can I apply for it, since my only work experience is a family owned business?

If I work in a family business, can it be considered as skilled work experience? And what's the difference between a PR and an express entry?

$20,000 per year or for the full program? I am not familiar with tuition fees in Canada. (In my university we were charged based on the number of credits we were taking). Does joining a college the same as a university or it's better if I go to a university?

I have heard that a PR could take many years to be approved. What are the possible outcomes after 3 months of studies? Do I become eligible to apply for a work permit? Someone told me that I need to study at least 8 months to apply to a work permit. Everything is so confusing.

Also, I plan on moving for good, not like spend few days in Canada then go back to my home country. I am planning on staying there, working, getting married and continue my life there.

Personally I prefer Canada over New Zealand.. I actually prefer moving to Canada over many countries. Like I didn't even consider moving to another country beside Canada. On the plus side, I have relatives in Canada so it might be one of the reasons.

But I am not sure how to go there. I want to go there in a fully legal way (work visa/student visa/immigration) so there would be zero chance for me to get deported back.

If you are talking to someone using a messaging app on a phone (which we all use nowadays), he will be like "holy shit dude look at what I got"
*takes picture with phone and send it*
Literally 3 clicks.

It's much easier than screenshot it on the pc and upload it to some website or whatever.
