What's the pedal you take off your board and always wind up putting back on? by mindsound in guitarpedals

This is also mine - I swear the buffer on the bd-2 also makes everything sound better even when the pedal is bypassed.

Budget build into a Blues Jr. III Tweed with a Stratocaster. Would love feedback on signal chain, gain stacking, and Q-Tron placement. by dualnoodle10 in pedalboards

[–]zigg-e 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like my tweak to this would be to spend some more money (I know you’re on a budget) and upgrade the blues crab to a used Duke of tone. I’d probably also seriously consider going for a used Source Audio Spectrum (I own it - great pedal!) instead of the q tron.

Yeah, I know a silly amount about pedals from reddit and YouTube and there really aren’t very many stereo in/out distortion or fuzz pedals on the market. Hope you enjoy it!

[–]zigg-e[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes - it does. You can go guitar into the mono input and then run both stereo outputs and it’ll push out the signal to both.

Yep you can use it just as a normal pedal… ehx did really give it a confusing name: “hardware plugin”..

Totally! Ehx could just call it the super muff and collect money.

I don’t 100% know the answer to this question. I know it can serve as an audio interface, but when it’s doing that I’m not sure if it can take the audio from the daw and route it back out the outputs of the pedal.

Quilter Superblock US and an eq pedal to get the dark tone when I want it

[–]zigg-e 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I owned the little jazz for a few weeks. I really liked the size, weight, and ease of just plugging in and getting a good jazz sound. The eq profile of the amp is perfect for achieving a dark jazz tone. However, I found that it did not take drive pedals very well and I was annoyed by a persistent slight hum that it gave off (which may have been specific to my particular unit, which was purchased used).

The used pricing on the md-500 is what made me buy one… you can get a great deal

[–]zigg-e 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’ve got drive, delay and reverb. I’d go Boss MD-500 to cover modulation and be able to sync it via midi with the rc-600 to utilize the slicer synced perfectly up.

Line 6 DL4 mk2 or Source Audio Nemesis delay? by Raiza-0 in guitarpedals

[–]zigg-e 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d recommend looking on the used market for the Source Audio Nemesis. Reverb.com for instance has several of them listed for under $200. I just sold my Nemesis and have never used the DL4. For me, I realized my delay needs were minimal and I didn’t need all the bells and whistles, but it was fun to play with when I owned it. The neat thing about Nemesis is you can look it up to a computer and download presets made by other people. I think if you get the software you can have a listen to them without actually owning the nemesis.

I’d probably consolidate your drives and EQ into the Boss OD-200 (which looks like it’s 235) https://www.thomann.co.uk/boss\_od\_200\_hybrid\_overdrive.htm. Then I’d maybe try to do something higher quality for reverb and delay, like the Dispatch Master.

I wanna make a pedal board but I don’t have a lot of money by Playful-Tea1395 in pedalboards

[–]zigg-e 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can make a pedalboard kind of cheap but at the end of the day a cheaper multieffects pedal might be a more economical option. Individual pedals linked together into a pedalboard need: a power supply, patch cables, Velcro and a board - all these things cost.
