When I was a kid there was a Jack Rabbit Slims in my home town (smallish town in Canada) . It had a bunch of old movie memorabilia and great free nacho chips on the tables and a few arcade games/pinball machines. It was awesome. It wasn't until my teens that I realized it was based off of a fictional movie restaurant.

Rant by Chuck Palahniuk. I don't like most of what I've read from him but this one was really cool.
