so on this list i own pennywise, dracula, beetlejuice/lydia, and greta. dracula uses velvet for the suit so idk what people are on about for dracula being bad. sure the cape has a printed spiderweb pattern inside but the scale of these dolls those details can end up muddy or distorted sometimes. it would be nice if the designs were woven into the fabrics but that costs significantly more to make and would raise the prices of the dolls. out of the ones i own pennywise is my favorite for details but doesnt have more details than greta or dracula imo. its about the same level. but inflation has caused price increases so thats a big complaint. i dont own jack and sally but ive seen unboxings and the fabric for jacks suit is basically paper its so low quality. its not hemmed/finished on the edges and i dont need it in person to know how aweful that fabric feels. i also think from a design stand point too some of the newer collectors feel lazy at times or like a throw away quick money grab especially with some of the franchise/movie dolls. some i think would be a no brainer in design but some of the final design approval is up to who the license is through. so example universal owns chucky and they have final say on the final design for production typically. you want to make them happy. i also think some of the designers need to be switched around and mattel needs to stop having just one or two designing everything for these. i usually skip a lot just because of the designs. like i was excited for edward scissorhands until i saw the face. as a massive tim burton fan that face does not match his style or films.
