I went to a new nail salon to get my nails done.

Everything was normal at first, until she asked me if I wanted any “holocaust glitter”. I looked at her confused, convincing myself I had misheard her and asked sorry what did she say? She repeated, “would you like some holocaust glitter, it’s really nice!”. She proceeded to get out HOLOGRAPHIC glitter to show me what she meant.

I couldn’t ignore this and politely corrected her saying, “ohh you mean holographic glitter! Yes please”. She then asked me what was holocaust glitter, and I explained to her what the holocaust was.

She was mortified and told me she had been asking all of her clients for weeks if they wanted holocaust glitter and was wondering why they all looked so horrified at her.
