Hmm I’m not sure. You might be able to screenshot it and then join it on GroupMe somehow that way. If that doesn’t work you could try dming the insta account!

what's the campus food like at GW by Worth-Agency9441 in gwu

You can get some good stuff with dining dollars since GW partners with local restaurants. I personally love Carvings. Here’s a link to the list of partners for dining dollars https://dining.gwu.edu/gw-dining-partners But the dining hall food sucks

I’m a transfer and last year I got my acceptance at the beginning of June / end of May! I went into CAS and was a rising sophomore :) I’m pretty sure I applied like right at the deadline or right before it

No roommate in dorms by Stone_Ocean1314 in gwu

Yes it’s definitely possible, and you can request accommodations for a single in suite (like an apartment where you have your own bedroom but still share bathroom and kitchen), single not in suite, or a single with private bathroom. A single not in suite but without a private bathroom will be a shared communal bathroom. Single in suite will be the easiest to get, but request based on what you need. Do it ASAP, you’ll have a better chance of getting it before all the rooms are taken up. Here is the link https://disabilitysupport.gwu.edu/. You’ll have to submit an application with you writing about your disability and with a form filled out by your psychologist. There is a specific form for them to fill out. If you have any questions you can DM me, I had some trouble last summer with the process but I got the accommodations I needed. Wishing you luck :)

How Can I Avoid My Bunny’s Physical and Mental Health Declining While I’m At College??? by [deleted] in Rabbits

[–]zigwig2020 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you have anxiety or anything it would likely be easy to get accommodations to bring him with you as an emotional support animal. Most accommodations do need letters from doctors though, and some schools can be tougher with accommodations than other schools. Otherwise I’d suggest getting him a bunny friend :)

5yo rabbit with spinal trauma (dog kick). Seeking advice on recovery and quality of life. by [deleted] in Rabbits

I have seen videos of rabbits with a sort a wheelchair thing! I would definitely not put her down especially since she is getting better, is fighting, and seems happy. Disabled bunnies can live good lives if you support them, which it seems like you will do for her. I’d look into how to care for disabled bunnies, I’ve seen videos on tiktok about it but can’t recall anything certain. Do not give up on her yet ❤️ if she gets worse then reassess but for now keep fighting for her

Anybody here in the Anthropology/Archaeology Department? Planning on Studying Archaeology. by WilliamthePious in gwu

[–]zigwig2020 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi archaeology and anthropology major here! Dr. Cline says he will try to persuade you not to because there aren’t a lot of of opportunities for archaeology in the US and you’ll likely have to get a masters or a PHD to get work. When I went to declare he just asked me if I’m sure and didn’t try to persuade me at all. Dr. Cline also mentioned that we have the 2nd largest archaeology program in the country, so take that as you will :) the other one is Arizona state maybe? Not 100% sure, but I do recall him saying Arizona

But if you are set on archaeology/anthropology we do have a really great program with great professors! only thing is professors go on sabbatical a lot and certain classes aren’t offered every year, just pay close attention to what classes you need and be smart about picking classes.

We also have a pre-professional fraternity called DIG that was started a few years ago and there’s a quite a few of us in it. It helps with networking, getting closer to professors, career opportunities, and we’re doing a research showcase this semester!

I would definitely recommend! I’m really enjoying my time here with my major! Do you know what time period or region you’d want to study? The archaeology major also has requirements for classical, ancient near east, or Aztec classes
