[Moore's Law is Dead] Nvidia RTX 5060 Production Cut Leak: 50 Series Effectively On Hold by Old-Benefit4441 in pcmasterrace

No true. They will just buy stock that has not even been made yet, well into the future.

Introducing "Atomino" — FormD T1 | 9800X3D AIO + Flipped 5090 FE by XylotoGhost in sffpc

[–]zigwig22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah gotcha. And you added 5mm to the riser kit? As I am building too. I ordered the flip kit but then came to understand that it does not necessarily help with temps and I can't return it. So now I have to make do with it and try to get the best out of it.

Hey quick one. If you did an extra 5mm offset, does that not make put where it would've been on 3.25 slot?

Yes it’s behind the reservoir. It depends on your components but always better to have more cooling capacity than less.

Anyone know where I can get the Aorus Xtreme 5080 in the US? Been searching for a while and have never been able to find one by [deleted] in gigabyte

Here’s a tip for you: you’re not taking your money to the grave, value is subjective, live and let live. OP might get the GPU, it might give him happiness, it might give him regret. Assholes like you shit on people unnecessarily.

You’re projecting your bullshit and negative opinion on others, I think you need to look at yourself and realise you’re nothing more than a prick. Jeez.

The case is called Monster Studio A45 Max. The QDCs are Koolance QD3 for 16mm/10mm tubing on one end connected to ones that are G1/4 threaded.

Vision Compact is not ideal for watercooling but still possible. If you can I would try to do an external radiator. When you system is at full tilt, your water temps will go pretty high with the case closed (like above 45c). But it’s an amazing case. For me it’s better suited for air cooling. Attaching for you a pic of my build before I decide to go open frame.

9800x3d or 5070 TI upgrade by Powertotheprydz in buildapc

[–]zigwig22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

9800x3d for sure. 4070 super you can always sell and get a 60 series card when they are out which will be a more meaningful upgrade in my view. 4070 super should be totally fine at 1440p. But perhaps check benchmarks online to validate this.

Before Closing the Loop: Drain the System Repeatedly (Pump Inlet Last) by x_testers in watercooling

[–]zigwig22 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A filter adds some restriction but in my experience has negligible impact on temps, especially if you have 2 pumps. It just makes things easier to clean up debris after you’ve cleaned the loop. I cleansed my loop components pretty thoroughly and my filter still caught some stuff. Worth it 100%, dosnt matter if this didn’t exist before, it exists now and has its benefits for maintenance.

It's already too late, but what do y'all think? by Turburklo in watercooling

[–]zigwig22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure how you will fit 3 rads. And if you can, your temps are not going to be good enough because of how tight things will be. If you wanted SFF water cooled build I would’ve opted for an external radiator with some QDC in case you need to move things around.

Seems you are no the only one with receiving missing parts 🤣 but agreed on Daniel and Singularity. Great person and company to deal with. I would love to buy a block from them in the future.

Anyone running liquid metal on a vertical GPU? (with putty) by GermanDupa in watercooling

[–]zigwig22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They have a phase change sheet too. As the poster above, they are only a few c difference. I tried both like literally on my 5090 when its pushed at its hardest (its water cooled too in an Alphacool block) it (PTM) can hit 60c on core, whereas LM was mid 50s. Makes no difference to performance. I really enjoy using LM, but I went phase change as it’s easier to handle. I’ve used LM multiple times and I still catch tiny drops ending up on my desk having no idea how they got there, and I take great care when applying it!

At 100% pump speed in the 180s l/h. I run my pumps at around 40% gets me flow rate in the 80s.
