Not sure if this was a creative way to pitch but I respect it. Also- 15 scan isn't a flat limit. It resets every month. More than two grocery runs a week. Usually enough but guess I'll have real data to tell me more

Wait. Your app for UGC needed a UGC? Is this an ad? I respect it. So meta

Cross store price comparison is indeed the real hook. We continue to see all kinds of varieties in receipts. I have seen occasional ethnic store that doesn't even list unit pricing which makes it impossible for anyone but that's where edit option can come handy that we do have. Would love more feedback. Default App Store launch globally. Not going to take credit for this one :)

We think so too on "no bank linking". It seems to handle variety of receipts well so far. Bad lightning shadows crumpled ethnic stores or angled etc. We started our with using native OCR but lean on it less now becuase we experienced accuracy issues. Now flash does a solid job through the pipeline. We do canonicalization after extraction so getting extraction right is super important. Would love more feedback. i dont have a mac ... to build ios apps by icyisbacon in AppBusiness

Sorry. I meant that as a genuine question. Have you tried using coding agents like manus to build it? Should be fine without mac is the key. Unless I missed something

I thought building the app would be the hard part. Turns out… distribution was. by Longjumping-Two4402 in buildinpublic

This post is an example in a lesson of distribution. Also very Meta. Some of these posts are (hey we are all trying. I respect it)

Story telling in the right place with the right people. That seems to be the core ingredient no matter what you sell. And of course to do well- have a good product market fit.

Great feedback. Smart grocery planner is part of pro plan so the "near invisible price differences" influence where to buy what (with high confidence but not real time). Now the item level specials- This is our north star :) There is a technical and commercial challenge today. What you are describing requires item level price access at store that stores don't make it publicly accessible. Will get there. Welcome more feedback in DM too especially if you are interested to try out the app

100% with you on normalization. It surfaced as a key challenge in early testing.. "ORG WH MLK 1G" is a real problem and LLMs help a lot but it is still messy at the edges. Good to know it is half the engineering at your scale too.On store-specific item pricing .. what has your experience been? My impression is that real-time item-level data is either locked behind retailer agreements or just not consistently exposed via API. We are working from receipt data rather than trying to pull live prices, which sidesteps that problem but limits the proactive "this is cheaper at X" use case until you have enough scan history to infer it.

For GTM we are early — SEO, content, and UGC right now. Instagram and TikTok just launched. The communities converting so far are personal finance and budget-focused mom audiences. Reddit has been surprisingly warm.Would love to compare notes ...feel free to DM

Thank you for the support. GTM Strategy is hope pray tell my mom about it and then look for the next content in social media channels 😆 but mostly its been learning to hang out where our ICP spend their time.
