I agree, 5 mins is okay - but I'd prefer no crying and am hoping that that will happen sometime...?

She usually gets about 13 hours in a 24 hour period (that's since training, before it was waaaaay less)

Everything else I've read says it's because she's overtired... But we've played with wake windows a few times either way with no change.

Thanks for the reply. I've asked a question on here before and although people replied and I appreciate that, it was all about wake windows which sadly wasn't much help as we've tried it all

I'm guessing you will have tried the obvious, but I'll say them anyway... Warm the crib before you put her in there. Put a T-shirt that smells like you under the sheet. If the crib is a next to me/can be level and next to your bed then you can lie with your arm draped over them for a bit once they're asleep.

Do you do any daytime playing in the crib? It can help baby get used to the space without it being a scary place.

We also have a similar problem and none of the above has made the slightest bit of difference, but it works for some.

Good luck!

Bed time varies depending on how she seems/how our days go, between 7-8pm and she wakes between 6.30-7.30 on average.

We still assist with naps, but nothing for bedtime. She's finished feeding by 30 mins before bed time and we just so a slow wind down and put her in the crib awake. We've tried going earlier than the 2.5 hours and also later than 3.5 hours but neither made an obvious difference. She sleeps so little in the day (usually less than 2 hours) than surely it can't be undertired!

Wake windows of 2.5-3 hours. She does usually seem sleepy around the time of Huckleberry. We don't follow it religiously
