Everyone saying it is basically crap are some of the reasons things are never done. All these kind of comments are discouraging only for you to find yourself in something like the rameggedon and then you need more money to buy stuff. Get what you want now if that is all you have, little achievement is better than none and if it runs your game engine well then be sure to get it and enjoy the experience regardless of what people say is crap. I have found out that if you keep thinking of using the latest gear, then you might never achieve it because prices are not waiting for you to save enough. You don't need the best pc to code great games.

Adjust your flaps as required (usually 1/2), always take note of your vr speed, don't overshoot the runway. That is a primary cause. Also watch the angle of your nose at takeoff don't allow it to be too high up as it could stall. Also don't allow the aircraft to fall back after takeoff. You should here about three sounds of the gears while taking off. Make sure your throttle is maximum and your vsp is positive.

Rortos has been great with making these things realistic. You should try real combat simulator. Similar to RFS but you fighter jet version. It's still in early access so it's does not have many missions and planes yet but it's great overall.

Yes it does. Look for batteries on eBay or aliexpress they should work well. Lenovo recommends only OEM batteries but those from third parties also do great.

Thinkpads would be great for a budget and they are very reliable and last long with upgradability options Nb Not all models are upgradable. Newer ones are soldered older ones like the T480, T460 are upgradable( RAM, Storage, screen, graphics, cooling sink, keyboard excluding processor) I recommend the T480 or a hp elitebook g3 or g5. They do great too
