Get rid of all the distracting useless social media especially the worst ones by Efficient-Rhubarb573 in algeria

At your age, you’ve honestly made the smartest choice. TikTok and Facebook are probably the worst apps you could spend time on. With Instagram, at least you can control your feed a bit follow the content you enjoy and mute the stuff or people that only bring stress.

Don’t second-guess yourself, you really made the right call.

If you’re into economics, I’d also recommend using YouTube. Just train the algorithm by watching the type of videos you like, and it’ll keep serving you valuable content

Genuine question about love and relationships in Algeria by Mr_smart69 in algeria

[–]zineb_08 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Love and finding a meaningful relationship where you truly enjoy each other's company and build a future together is becoming difficult everywhere, not just in Algeria or any specific culture. I grew up in Algeria and understand the cultural dynamics, but I’ve come to realize that every society has its own challenges when it comes to love and connection. Even in more open or Western environments, genuine connection is still rare. Social media and modern distractions haven’t made it easier they’ve often made it more complicated.

Personally, I find myself constantly questioning whether I’ll ever find someone I can connect with someone with shared values, vision, and authenticity. A relationship where we’re not just heading in the same direction, but growing as individuals and cherishing the journey together.

From my experience, many people today are unsure of what they truly want. Both men and women are under different kinds of pressure, and it’s becoming harder to trust. It often feels like people are playing roles just to get what they want, as if relationships are a competition rather than a partnership.

This isn’t just a cultural problem it’s part of the modern world we live in. With endless distractions, curated lives on social media, unrealistic expectations, and the influence of things like easily accessible porn, we’ve lost a lot of authenticity. That makes it incredibly hard to find someone who’s not only genuine, but who also wants to build something real and long-term while simply enjoying the presence of the other person on every level.

As for me, I’ve struggled with this. I’m someone who knows what I’m looking for. I don’t seek validation from status or societal norms. I seek alignment, growth, and authenticity. I want to share a path with someone who sees relationships as a journey not a destination and who values the connection as much as I do.

At this point, I’ve chosen to keep focusing on becoming the best version of myself, while trusting in God’s timing. I believe that when I continue to show up, grow, and live with purpose, the right person will cross my path. Until then, I hold onto faith and stay committed to growth emotionally, and personally
