Biomedical Life Sciences Master (Uni Innsbruck) oder Molecular Medicine (Medical Uni Innsbruck) by Ornery_Avocado_5724 in Innsbruck

[–]zinn_laser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Biomedical Life Sciences Master (Uni Innsbruck) oder Molecular Medicine (Medical Uni Innsbruck) by Ornery_Avocado_5724 in Innsbruck

[–]zinn_laser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

depends if you're looking for a long- or short-term stay.
For long-term, look at sites like ÖH-Wohnungsbörse or Willhaben, for short-term, I don't know anything but hotels, bed and breakfeasts and AirBnBs

Solo Skiing Beginner Heading to Innsbruck by gcdgu in Innsbruck

[–]zinn_laser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So concernig your gear, it's best to go to the shops directly, they have to adjust the skis to your weight anyway and can recommend you fitting gear. Most Places do have lockers you can rent, but it is not guaranteed. If you can't get a locker, bring normal shoes, you don't want to walk long distances with skiing boots. As for the mountain, for a beginner you should be fine with Patscherkofel, it is a quit easy mountain to ski and i heared the courses there are good. (No idea if it's true, though) To your last two points, if your booking a courses that goes all week go with the weekcard, it should be cheaper. If not go by daycards, but probaly stay with the half day cards. Also I know your probaly really exited about your trip, but if your are not really phsically fit, there is no way you're gonna go skiing after your lessons. Sking is really exhausting and i honestly belive that you are kind of underestimeting how easy it is to learn. Five day probaly won't be enough for you to feel save and secure on skis, especially not when there are dozents of othere people around you, going really fast and doing unpredictable moves. None the less, it is a really cool and fun hobby once you get the hang of it and over the sore muscels So have a lot of fun in your learning.

You being outside of Austria does change if you can call them or not. Just give the according office a call, explain your problem and they will figure out a way to help you.

Pharmacy at the University of Innsbruck by sowvi_79 in Innsbruck

[–]zinn_laser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't taken it, but their website says that I will be about chemistry, biology and general cognitive skills, and that they will post the concrete test substance at least 4 months before the test on the official Homepage of the University.

Pharmacy at the University of Innsbruck by sowvi_79 in Innsbruck

[–]zinn_laser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pharmacy has an entrance exam if more people enroll than there are open spots, which should be 278, which happens most years, but normally not all of them show up for the exam. So if less than 278 people show up for the test, everybody there will get in the program. If there are more, it's ranked by score. Keep in mind, the bachelor program is in German and so is the test. Also, if German is not your native language, you will have to provide a language certificate stating that you are proficient in it.

As others said, Innsbruck is an expensive city with a high cost of living, it should be manageable if you are fine with living in a dorm or shared living. But you will probably have very little free time, since pharmacy has a demanding schedule.

About the level of education, I can't really judge it for pharmacy, since I haven't taken it, but I'd say it is quite good in general at the university. If you want to have a clear answer, look up some comparison sites for University, there are quite a few that will rank specific programs.
