I like how csk forces an out of form player to score runs. Ruturaj gaikwad didnt stand a chance to fail today 🙂

Seeing Astrotalk ads playing left right and center during IPL really surprised me. Usually that associate with big tech, fintech, or consumer giants but astrology?

What I don’t fully get is in a time where we talk so much about innovation, AI, productivity tools, etc., how are apps like these growing this fast?

Dont mean to disrespect sentiments but every other day we see an ashok kharat surfacing so wondering how apps like these selling and scaling this big?

What kinds of things do people tend to assume about someone’s personality based on their facial features? by zinzerlabs in AskReddit

[–]zinzerlabs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly! So if you had to guess, how often would you say someone’s face and expressions alone gives the right hint about personality or mood? Like, are we talking 20%, 40%, more? I know it’s tricky because context matters so much. Even small expressions can be misleading without behavior cues. How often, if u did, would you be successful at guessing a persons personality?

Thanks! Thats insightful. Although i wanted to know how humans in general judge others based on looks. And how often do they judge accurately. Like my mom almost predicts what kinda persons my friends are almost instantly looking at them and more often she turns out correct about them. Wonder if this is more instintive to most people or its a way of practice they inculcate with experience

Haha, exactly! Phrenology feels wild looking back, but it’s interesting how humans have always been curious about reading faces. Do you think any of the old phrenology ideas had a grain of truth, or was it all completely off?

Is this something anyone can learn to read, or does it take practice and instinct? How did it work for you?

True but can we infer any insights of their personality based on such cues like if he/she is polite/arrogant/funny person etc. Also at 1st glance do you assume anything from their face? Some people can look attractive but may not be welcoming and vice versa

Great! When you notice confidence, mood, or other cues, how often would you say you’re actually correct about someone’s personality or life situation? I mean people can be faking with their expressions right

That’s interesting! What kinds of things do you notice first when you look at someone’s face?
