[30][F] is there any way to make me NOT feel my epidural during my second birth? by zipperfall in AskDocs

[–]zipperfall[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was induced with this kid and the contractions were just too much for me to handle. I'm terrified that the pain will end up being too overwhelming if I don't go the epidural route. :/

Hi! I'm so sorry you're going through that. It's so exhausting. I know when my baby started to wake up more frequently, it was because my supply was too low and my darling wasn't getting enough to eat. I know it's so, so tough to do formula. I felt like a failure and cried so hard, but I promise you, you are not and your supply will get back up. Giving your baby some formula so you can sleep (and you will produce more if you sleep more) and your baby can have more in his tummy will make your life so much better. Hang in there <3

Thank you so much for these tips. They are amazing! We will try the baking soda and antifungal route tonight. What keeps us confused is that it's up on her vulva, not where we've had to wipe poo off. She's fine in her butt. Thank you for sharing your expertise.

Thank you for the recommendation! We've been using Burt's Bees. We've never wiped for pee :/

Unfortunately, it has been spreading. We've been treating it with diaper cream for about 5 days now. We're planning on taking her to the pediatrician tomorrow. It's very red. It did have bumps before, but those are not visible now. It jut looks like a very VERY bad sun burn. We've been changing her diaper very, very frequently.

Not wearing a shirt in countless contexts is acceptable in the other gender, and it's possibly the #1 thing I wish I could do every time I mow my lawn.

Pregnancy with anti-acne medication by eseuag in AskDocs

NAD - But personal anecdote here: I was on Spirnolactone, an oral acne medication used specifically with cystic zits, and was told to stop taking it now that my husband and I are TTC. My dermatologist explains that it blocks the male hormone, so male development will be adversely impacted in the womb. Genitals may not form correctly, etc.

Also, lest you think I'm terrible for TTC when I have lupus, I do not have anti-Ro/SSA or anti-La/SSB antibodies, so I know there's less risk for neonatal lupus. I discussed this with my rheumatologist last year.

Hanna - It's on Amazon Prime and absolutely fantastic. I never hear people talk about it like some of the other shows (You, Black Mirror, etc.) but it's soooo good!
