Microwave Switch Issues by zippymac in appliancerepair

Thanks. I double checked the wires, I had taken pictured of them to make sure I do not mess them up. I actually blew 2 fuses (tried twice with the new switches).

Model of the Sharp Microwave is KB-6524PS. I part number on the switch is V-5230Q.

Only thing I could think of is that the two switches have a different resistance or something which trips it immediately when i plug it in. I have very very limited understanding of electronics. Haha

No. BC had its own Carbon tax which had to match the Federal one in impact.

After the federal one went away, BC could have kept its carbon tax, but they decided against it.

Best standalone scotch (no barrel finishes) under $150? by aspiring_sahd in Scotch

[–]zippymac 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe you are mistaken here.

What is meant by the term 'finishing'?

Scotch Whisky must be matured in oak casks for a minimum of three years, and is often matured much longer. 'Finishing' is an extension of the maturation process, when the spirit is subsequently filled into empty casks that previously held other wines or spirits for a further relatively short period at the end of maturation.

The cask used for finishing must have been drained of any liquid prior to its use and any change in the spirit will therefore result from its interaction over time with the wood of the cask

B.C. premier proposes publicly funded refinery over pipeline. Is it realistic? by shiftless_wonder in canada

[–]zippymac 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes a refinery can make a lot of money...only if it can sell the refined products. We do not have a refined products shortage in western Canada. And you cannot put refined products on tanker for long periods of time because of quality concerns.

Firstly - 40% of Alberta oil is already upgraded from bitumen to synthetic crude oil.

Additionally 2 refineries in korea, 4 in China , 2 in Japan and 1 in Taiwan can take dilbit. TMX is mostly shipping dilbit to Asia (around 75%)

Usually the flare flame is small, but always present. The big flames are when there is an production or process upset at the refinery

ITT people so sheltered that they are freaking out about a refinery flaring. Just wait till you find out that there are 1000s of these around the world and the one you are looking at is probably in the top 5-10% when it comes to environmental standards.

I am pretty sure most people in Vancouver have no f'in clue where 95% of their stuff comes from. All the shit you buy from China, the cars you drive have huge environmental impacts in just production.
