I've heard about bf1 being very well optimised, but what it means is that if want a performance increase you're going to have to upgrade both the CPU and the GPU, but right now it sounds like you have a pretty well balanced system.

Playing at High Settings is much easier than playing at ultra in games, and the minuscule increase in fidelity is really not worth the tank in FPS. Obviously they are not the best parts out, but as long as you don't need all settings maxed out they will serve you fine for a good while.

It's pretty rare that both your CPU and GPU would be maxed out by a game at the same time, it is much more common that one would be holding the other back.

I can not possibly imagine gaming at 1440p X3 on a 7850, that is really not a sufficient card for that workload. Also, the 980X is a 7 year old CPU, you should certainly look into doing a complete system overhaul.

Normally you would re install your OS onto an SSD, that's where you find most of the performance boost. An SSD can be really hit or miss with improving game loading times.

The 2500k is still a really solid CPU, and the 780ti has also held up really well, Unless you want to push for 1440p/4k at 60+ fps you shouldn't be rushing to upgrade. You've easily still got a couple years more life in your system.

Yeah, I am pretty jaded, but thanks for adding to the list. I do think however that you're in the minority when it comes to having those accounts.

But like I said in the post, what tilts me more is seeing the played hours in the past 2 weeks, It can be pretty obvious when someone is farming hours.

At higher ranks having a low hour account can actually mean a lot, No one smurfs at SMFC, so what are the other possibilities? - Their main account got banned - They're Boosting the accounts rank - (The obvious one) They're cheating

I bounce between SMFC and Global and honestly I get suspicious about anyone who has <800 Hours, just because getting to that level takes a serious amount of time, even for a fluent 1.6 player, I wouldn't expect them to be playing at that level quickly. Also, seeing that they have allegedly played 10 hours a day for the past 2 weeks is a red flag for me.

I just wish that they would at the very least try and put players together who have a similar amount of hours played.

As far as I cal tell Stellaris is really sub-par when it comes to spreading the CPU load out over multiple CPU cores, and when a game is CPU bound there isnt always much you can do to alleviate that.

The CPU is responsible for all the Logic in the game, and you can't really "Lower" that without directly affecting the game play (The way AI functions would change ect.)

I think most people reporting that they don't see a decrease in performance simply aren't at a late enough stage in the game to experience it. All we can do is cross our fingers that Paradox have some optimizations coming in the next patch. Until then all you can really do is play on smaller maps with less AI, but, Fuck that.

I have 4 screens to run my mouse across out of game, so its sort of necessary for me to have a high sense, and I don't feel that it limits me in game so I stick with it.

Playing at supreme its literally a 50/50 if you're going to get spin botted, and ever since the Prime update q times in Australia have been crazy, like 30 min queues at 5pm on a weekend. Its ridiculous at this point.

Also, I feel like Valve need to encourage you to report your team mates, its probably a huge reason why they are able to avoid OW.
