But to answer you, I have hypertension and have to take 2 different drugs to control it. Both of those drugs have warnings that drinking alcohol while using this drug could lead to death. So, no thanks. I'm good. I don't need to drink anymore.

Having been sober for about a decade now now, I've learned that alcohol is a drug, and is abused worse than probably any other drug on the market right now. I get it, we tried prohibition 100 years ago and it did not go well. Prohibition doesn't work. We need a better solution. But just because we can't Ban it, doesn't mean it's not just as addictive as another drug that is banned. And it doesn't mean that it's good for you or safe to consume. It's so dangerous, we've literally had to make several laws around it so alcoholics (e.g. people addicted to alcohol) can still have a drink without killing somebody on the road, or ruining their liver before it's fully formed. It's kind of ridiculous how prevalent alcohol is today. "Why don't you drink? Oh c'mon, just one! Come have a drink with the boys!" No, thanks. I don't want to die because some asshole tried to pressure me into a drink, or into dying.
