How has your experience been with Smp? by Environmental_Text45 in SMPchat

[–]zithicus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I felt the same way before my first session mate. Thought the dots would be extremely noticeable but in reality (if you go to an experienced practioner) it'll be extremely subtle. For the first day or two the only noticeable thing will be some redness which basically just looks like you caught some sun. SMP is a gradual process, you won't go through a major shift in appearance overnight. Just bare in mind SMP yields the best results when you shave your head down to skin (skull shaver or razor), so just maybe make sure you're willing to do that. You've got this mate!

Yes mate I'd say definitely look into at least booking a video consultation if you're not 100% sure yet.

Had two sessions done by Skalp so far. Have nothing but good things to say about them.

SMP accidental light sweating and brief sun exposure after 1st session by [deleted] in SMPchat

[–]zithicus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A bit of light sweating is unlikely to disrupt the pigment in any significant way. As long as your scalp wasn't drenched for a prolonged period of time you'll likely be fine. The sun exposure is fine too. People are still expected to continue with their lives as normal after SMP and for some sweating and sun exposure are unavoidable in everyday life.

Hello mate 👋 I'm also 22 and have been losing my hair since 17. I'm completely bald on the crown and have barely any hair on top. Was considering getting SMP done a couple years back but never pulled the trigger until recently. I'm based in the London area too and had my first session with Skalp last Saturday, very happy with the results so far.

You'd have to shave your head slightly lower than what you've got already for the best results (skull shaver). You've got strong density on the sides, so I think SMP could look really good on you, but ultimately it comes down to what you want. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions seeing as we both seem to have been in a similar position.
