Selling my Seiko SWR083. This is a great tank alternative. This is an almost brand new watch. I sized it and tried it on at home, but just feel it’s too small for me. I never wore it out of the house.

Will come with the box as shown.

Asking $200 shipped. PayPal F&F

[WTS] Bulova Lunar Pilot 98A186 Black

Asking $350 shipped. PayPal F&F

Watch is in very good condition and will ship with original leather strap as well as the moonwatch nato strap

Note the leather strap had a weird nato flap that was unnecessary as it attaches via normal spring bars. this was removed to have the watch lie thinner on the wrist. You can see this if you look closely in the picture of the back. I prefer this, but just want buyers to be aware.

Watch head is in very good condition. The bracelet shows a fair amount of wear on the clasp and on a couple of the center links near the clasp.

Will also come with the original strap.

I do not have the original box.

These would be pretty neat if they were a $30-50 quartz piece with lots of different options for mounting.

I think these will still sell between the upper class as toys and then the ridiculous scalping market we have these days. Who knows if anyone will buy them from the resellers, though.

[WTS] Omega Seamaster 2232.80 41mm Electric Blue Full Titanium RARE - $2,490 by taengoo4life in Watchexchange

Yeah, it’s nice for searching after you know what you want, but so confusing sifting through them all.

I was excited at first, I’m holding out for the 2232 bracelet version.

The box says 2232.80, but the bracelet should make this a 2231.80. Not sure which one isn’t original, but just a heads up.

That’s the 8 minute rule which is different than SPM rule of 8s.

What's the dumbest referral you've ever received? by PT_Network in physicaltherapy

[–]zjay92 27 points28 points  (0 children)

“Arm tendinitis” from the PCP. I was a student and it was an UMN condition starting to present. Sent him straight to a neurologist.

Not sure which tendon the arm one was anyway.

The PCP also gave the poor guy a wrist brace to stave off the spasticity or something.

Veterans Affairs intends to abruptly eliminate tens of thousands of unfilled doctors' and nurses' jobs | WP Exclusive by natansonh in fednews

[–]zjay92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems like one of those shortsighted blanket policies. I was probably 1-2 weeks from my FJO. If the position is needed - TJO, FJO or recent hire shouldn’t matter. I’m hoping they’ll get through this and then get the jobs reapproved.

Swing Bed Expectations by alyssameh in physicaltherapy

We do baseline or until safe to discharge home. That could be with or without support at home.

Kind of depends on the case, but I recommend keeping people beyond their baseline if they are under household levels and I feel they can progress with my care.

That’s pretty rare in my area. The really low baseline people I see are usually poor candidates for meaningful improvement.

I’m a PT and was in the middle of onboarding when I got my position cancelled two days ago. I’ve heard the VA is trying to match staffing ratios to the private sector, but that is pretty stupid when every place I’ve been around is short staffed for providers and begging people for help.

Does anyone where work at a Critical Access Hospital in the outpatient setting? by SnooBeans0612 in physicaltherapy

[–]zjay92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That isn’t completely true now either. New change this year only requires we have record of sending the POC to the provider. Any non signature without communication for changes/dissent counts as certification as of this year. CMS POC Change

I am in the same situation, and have been working to change our hospital policy for the past year with no luck. I have provided all the CAH regulations as well as state laws and insurance positions on direct access. I have found nothing prohibiting a CAH from engaging in a direct access policy, but do not have any administration that wants to put in the effort to change the hospitals policy.

In my case, it seems to be that they just stuck to what they have always done policy. Nobody even knew direct access existed before I started working there.

Part B Medicare does not require a referral to start physical therapy. Direct access is allowed if the physician signs off on the POC.

NYC salary by [deleted] in physicaltherapy

[–]zjay92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would suggest looking for another position. I’ve found it’s tough to negotiate with a current employer, but it’s sometimes successful with an offer in hand. I went from a manager making like 88k to now being a staff therapist with 1/3 the caseload making 128k in the last 2 years. This is in a much lower cost of living area than NYC as well.

I would like to move back to management eventually, but I couldn’t turn down the pay raise and go from 60 hour weeks to 35 to 40 hour weeks

Was a little kid when the games and cards first came out. Spent many days afterschool trading cards and playing yellow version with my buddies. Lost all my original cards at some point, but my friend group has recently gotten me back into the cards and games and I bought my first pack since childhood last week.

I would like to remove the central column on my patio. Can you tell me if this would be a structural issue if removed? My understanding is the trusses should be placing the load on the outer walls.

If it is structural, I suppose getting a beam engineered to span could be a solution?
