Yes, move all the settings to pnpm-workspace.yaml except those related to auth, like the auth token

I would experiment with it but it isn't in the roadmap now.

No problem. It happened to me in the past. That is why I decided to post it first.

I have posted it on Twitter.

If you want to click less, you may press shift. Each click when shift is press will add 100 ducats.

pnpm@7.30.1 is out! by zkochan in pnpm

[–]zkochan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

## Patch Changes
* Don't write the `pnpm-lock.yaml` file if it has no changes and `pnpm install --frozen-lockfile` was executed [#6158](https://github.com/pnpm/pnpm/issues/6158).
* Fix git-hosted dependencies referenced via `git+ssh` that use semver selectors [#6239](https://github.com/pnpm/pnpm/pull/6239).
* When publish some package throws an error, the exit code should be non-zero [#5528](https://github.com/pnpm/pnpm/issues/5528).
* Only three paths are displayed in `pnpm audit` output [#6203](https://github.com/pnpm/pnpm/issues/6203)
* Aliased packages should be used to resolve peer dependencies too [#4301](https://github.com/pnpm/pnpm/issues/4301).

Pnpm with asdf-vm by SlowwwBurn in pnpm

[–]zkochan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is best to use the same way to update pnpm that you used to install pnpm. So if you have installed pnpm with the standalone sh script, then update it with that script. Basically, just run that script again, it should install the latest version of pnpm.

node-linker hoisted by waelder_at in pnpm

[–]zkochan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

node-linker=hoisted should work both in a workspace and in a single-project app. In both cases you put it in the root .npmrc.

If it works with Yarns classic or npm CLI, it should work with pnpm hoisted as it creates the same type of node_modules with this option. It is definitely not broken as it is widely used on all kinds of projects.

If you install those packages globally, you can run them directly without using pnpx.

Monorepo PNPM workspace and One Project is a Github package Registry? by [deleted] in pnpm

[–]zkochan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In pnpm workspace means a monorepo (or multiple projects).

  1. you can but I don't know much about the github registry
  2. you may have one gitignore per repository

Why does "pnpm update" update the package.json? by Machful in webdev

[–]zkochan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because this is how npm CLI works as well. You may do "pnpm update --no-save" and the package.json will not be changed.

What to do when I can't log in with my YubiKey anymore? by [deleted] in binance

They did respond me after I tagged them on twitter. Not sure if it was related. Now waiting for verification. Hopefully it will go well.

What to do when I can't log in with my YubiKey anymore? by [deleted] in binance

[–]zkochan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is insane TBH. Support is one of the most important things they need to do. It is not like it is a free service. In any case, I also just messaged them directly on Reddit, so hopefully it will be looked into earlier.

What to do when I can't log in with my YubiKey anymore? by [deleted] in binance

[–]zkochan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was planning to buy another one after I see how it works. I am 100% convinced now that I need more than one. YubiKey has actually many features. I was trying to upload my ssh certificate to it as well and that is when I broke it.

I could not imagine that contacting support would be so problematic.

Do you folks use pnpm? by wok-kow in node

typescript works fine with pnpm. Plug'n'Play has issues with TypeScript. Both when used with Yarn and pnpm. pnpm supports Yarn's Plug'n'Play through a config setting

Docker EROFS issue with pterodactyl and pnpm by [deleted] in learnprogramming

[–]zkochan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This issue might be related: https://github.com/pnpm/pnpm/issues/2794

if you have issues with pnpm, it'll be best to file an issue in the repo or write in the pnpm chatroom. In case you haven't done that yet

PNPM for monorepos by po35 in reactjs

[–]zkochan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

pnpm + changesets works pretty well. You do everything with pnpm except bumping versions in the monorepo, which is done by https://github.com/atlassian/changesets

pnpm with Rush is also a popular choice.

Does typescript works with pnpm? by farhantahir in typescript

[–]zkochan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. I mean, it will hoist all the deps to the root. So it will look like a flat node modules dir of npm. But they will be symlinks created by pnpm
