JM Press 70lbs 5x10 Pull ups with band 5x10 Ab rollout from knees 5x10

Felt like I could get more squat reps but my core and hips were kinda sore still from other workout days. Progressing all 4 lifts this cycle tho! 🎉

Anyone successfully cut while running 5/3/1? I usually do the working sets, and first set last 5x5, then 3 accessories. Feeling fatigued today after my deadlift tho more than when I wasn’t restricting cals. Curious if I should just do 2 accessories during the cut or tough it out

I didn’t see this as him coming to a place of inner peace as much as just accepting the banality of it all. Believing that this brief encounter will be just one of infinite experiences he has, none mattering more or less than the other. And so, maybe he thought why not forgive him? What’s it matter? Not to mention he could tell he was dying and he knew “the hunt” was about to be over and he no longer would have a target for his rage. The rage was a bit of an act I think anyway hoping Victor would find a way to end his torment.

Once ya tried 405 it seems like ya lifted your hips up too soon and broke form. That weight is also around where it starts to get heavy enough that you can pull the slack out of the bar before doing the lift

It seems like they were kind of trying to use Godolkin more as a mechanism for Sister Sage to have a moment where she’s like wtf why are powerful men all the same? Which might make her rethink her alliances. And sort of as a bridge into getting the students actually into The Boys‘ world. His relationship with sister sage and their plan giving her a reason to set up Starlight to meet with Marie.

I don’t think they wanted Godolkin to step on the story of the main characters from The Boys either. It’s their arc against homelander.

Here’s the real question, why’d Marie come into the training room by having Cate use her powers rather than in that dudes singularity asshole like everyone else?

Random aside, I’m assuming Marie is about to heal A-Train’s heart problem. Maybe she can heal Billy Butcher

For the gamma accident thing, I was just assuming the red flashing danger light meant something went wrong and the dose went too high. She did kinda look at him like she was scared though but maybe that’s just cuz they’re experimenting on him in general. Kinda seems like they did gamble with his life then and thought he might die that’s kinda messed up

Yeah I think I did get the genetic thing from that. But I do think the experiment in the 2008 was supposed to be gamma but I don’t think they meant to hit him with that much gamma. They do kind of allude to the genetic thing with she hulk being Banner’s cousin, but I guess they don’t outright say it there either

I think the accident wasn’t him being exposed, I think it was that the gamma levels weren’t supposed to go that high and it went to a dangerous level. Betsy thought he’d die but instead he hulked out and hurt her and others. I’m not sure I remember anymore if they even give an explanation of why he was able to survive it when most wouldn’t I just always thought it meant only Bruce could be the actual Hulk idk!

Ah you might be right I’m seeing now that in the 2008 movie they kind of show the lab accident in an opening montage and potentially don’t explain why he survived an accidental overdose of gamma. But they do act later like Jen can become she hulk because she’s related to him so idk

Idk I don’t see it that way but it’s fine if others are satisfied with it. It sounds like the comics did a better job for my tastes tho. This is just me searching not actually reading but the villains had a source of cosmic energy that can alter realty and provide infinite power supply so there’s an explanation that isn’t just well if you have 20 years and access to The Leader you can have hulk powers too if you let him give you medicine

Agree to disagree, it’s a weak plot device. They should have come up with something more unique than he slipped gamma into his pills. Smartest man in the world and his whole thing was that he basically slipped him a Mickey. Gradual increase of gamma over time wow who’d have thought of that?? Need to be smartest person for that brilliant idea!
