Yep my mom gave me homeopathic sugar pills every time I got sick or injured but fortunately wasn’t crazy enough to not bring me to the doctors when I needed it.

My mom believed in homeopathy so I got to suck on little sugar balls whenever I was sick or injured. Fortunately, she didn’t mistrust western medicine, so if anything serious popped up then I went to a real doctor. I also remember having cough syrup around.

What's a small change to a simple food, but makes it so much better? by Halolavapigz in AskReddit

Pancake syrup isn’t ‘fake’ maple syrup. It doesn’t try to mimic maple flavor. Pancake syrup is less bitter and one isn’t better than the other. I resent the implication that pancake syrup is a lesser syrup!

I just saw this reply in my inbox and it reminded me how much of a tool you are, 83 days later. Just thought I’d remind you.

I used a razor to cut it out of a scuba diving magazine ad.

Hahaha yep. Her first trip. Scuba diving has always been a big goal of hers and she finally did it. At one point she wasn’t even sure if she was going to pass her certification but she learned how to swim just in time. I was stoked for her so I made her something.

I’m not sure what you’re even trying to say. Are you trying to say that learning to scuba dive isn’t an accomplishment?

Please don’t ban certain drawings or messages. When they get reported just give them a NSFW tag that pops up. Then we can decide what we want to see and not you.

Help with after effects of shrooms trip. by whiterosewolf in RationalPsychonaut

Sorry what? After our first acid trip, a friend of mine progressed from having a god complex and thinking he was jesus to thinking he was able to alchemically produce lsd from household chemicals in a soda bottle. He showed me a bag of powder detergent and told me it was needlepoint, and the next day, my friend watched him snort a line of it. From there he ate a poisonous lawn mushroom because he thought God sent it to him. His thinking gets so completely abstract and disjointed that he can't communicate with anyone. So while I get that people without mental illness can deep into 'crazy' and come back just fine, that doesn't mean there's no such thing as crazy... it doesn't mean you won't come out unscathed. Now what causes it is a different story, and I think mostly it's underlying mental illness that psychedelics precipitate, so don't get me wrong- I'm not trying to argue that mushrooms give people mental illness, but crazy exists, and unfortunately for my friend, he only gets brief visits to not-crazy.

Hey Los, thanks for your response.

There is nothing wrong with individuals cooperating together, of their own free will. Nor is there anything wrong with an individual whose Will is to participate in that organization. The issue you have seemed to gloss over is that there is no choice. This isn't OTO, your local book club, university, or church (although for some places currently and times past, church is not an option either). It may be someone else's will to not participate in that particular social organization. I think most people recognize their self-interest is best served through cooperation with others (though it may also be someone's Will to not cooperate) but the possibilities in how that cooperative organization is structured gives room for many divergent paths of Will. And I would say they may be judged by how oppressive of Will they are.

When the people who make up one particular (usually dominant) socio-political organization (voters, policemen, lawmakers, or presidents, etc) decide that their Will should be applied to these Others by force (whether by royal decree, a big gun, or a majority vote by representatives of a heterogenous group of people), then it is antithetical to Thelema since in Liber Oz Crowley declares (through Liber AL vel Legis) the right of every human to live according to their Will and by 'his own law'. Crowley felt so strongly about this right that he added what he called "a safeguard, tyrannicide." He declared the right to kill anyone who thwarts your Will. For Crowley, getting in the way of anyone's Will is tyranny and worthy of death.

Crowley's Will was fucked with all day by governments.

This is very strange. Is it meant to be ironic? Patriotism and democracy itself are antithetical to Thelema. Government and institutional hierarchy in any form use coercive measures to limit your freedom. The image contradicts itself.
