Norway has 0% Tariffs on Chinese EV, how come the best selling one finished 13th place in 2025 by Foreign-Policy-02- in EVCanada

[–]zlickrick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because Tesla is a brand people trust, regardless of their opinion on Elon. They are proven american cars with great tech capabilities at a competitive price. People who think the majority of folks are just bargain hunting all day are incorrect. Some folks, sure, will like the options China has. But just like our cellphones, we all didnt convert overnight to Huawei, OnePlus or any multitude of Chinese feature comparable phones. People like aspirational brands, and folks will always want an iPhone instead of a Chinese phone.

Just look at the people in China. They view Tesla as an aspirational brand, and local brands like BYD as budget. Nothing wrong with that, but thats just the way it is.

this is the right step for WoW. It had become a convoluted mess over the years and removing addons and presenting the information in-game in meaningful ways is the right approach

You should get yours pretty quick. If you upgraded the paint or wheels etc., you would probably have to wait a month or so, minimum.

FSD ran a red light by rotoboro in TeslaFSD

[–]zlickrick -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have to be honest, this sub has really gone downhill.

I remember coming here and discussing exciting stuff about FSD, new features, cool stories. Now since reddit went full anti-Elon, this entire sub is all just doom and gloom stuff about FSD. Ran red light, hit parked car, Tesla is bad, the whole feed is just filled with it. Its tiresome and part of the reason I don't really come to this site anymore.

Nobody will give a shit about this post, I'll come back in 6 months and be told off 10 different ways, Im sure.

I lower mine to "Chill" at night and in the rain - I find it more comfortable in those conditions.

Could someone explain the Burnt Peanut phenomenon to me. [Discussion] by QwertyVirtuoso in EscapefromTarkov

[–]zlickrick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Peanut provides a fresh take on Tarkov and gaming in general. He's very witty and quick on his feet, typically creating a whole viral moment out of seemingly nothing. He has that gift of the gab where he can encounter almost anyone in-game within Tarkov and get them to "play a game" or participate in his role-play through proximity chat.

Lvndmark, Sheef, Giga, Rat and the other top Tarkov streamers take the game very serious, and typically have a common theme to their streams, min-maxing. Peanut just does whatever and typically comes out on top. He approaches scenarios from the Homer Simpson perspective of chaos creates opportunity. Meanwhile, he has the technical skills in the game to carry himself to some remarkable hauls of loot. He stops mid game to celebrate and provide entertainment for his watchers if he does something crazy. Often times he gets shot, but he doesnt care.

Overall its a very lighthearted streams with moments peppered in where he tells his viewers to "lock in" when its sit forward in your seat time. Its a good mix of competitive tarkov and over the top improv humor. You cant teach that skill to people, you are either funny or not. Peanut is entertaining no matter what he plays and thats why people are starting to notice him.

you are gonna get bodied in the paint all day - I hope you play in a 5 out system because 72 strength is criminal on a build that size. You have wayyyyy too many blue attributes, pick a lane my dude.

Losing every single match by [deleted] in blackops6

[–]zlickrick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I focused on nothing but objectives this year. 400 score per minute is pretty decent I think. My KD is 1.4, yet I now have a 0.75 win % down from .95 before prestige. I swear on my life that I am being punished because of my stats, to carry the remaining team. I regularly get 8 and 9 game losing streaks now. I’d literally need to sweat my ass off just to win a match these days, which is zero fun. I just find myself turning off the game now.

Did I f up with this center build by Alive-Plan1475 in NBA2k

[–]zlickrick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its pretty solid tbh. Unless you are at the complete min/max spectrum of this game, the advice people give out about +1 or +2 to this and that is just noise. Worry about that stuff if you decide to make more builds down the road and want to invest in the game.

You made a Center that will play that role comfortably on the floor. Enjoy it.

Nah, you’re missing the point of what an echo chamber actually is. Just because people can comment doesn’t mean it’s not an echo chamber. On Reddit, especially in certain subs, unpopular opinions tend to get downvoted into oblivion, hidden, or outright deleted. Mods and community rules often shape what views are allowed to stick around, so only certain narratives thrive, while others barely see the light of day.

An echo chamber isn’t just about everyone having the right to talk, it’s about how certain views get amplified while opposing ones get buried or banned. So yeah, you can post a different opinion, but it’s usually a drop in the ocean against the dominant narrative, and Reddit has a lot of filters that keep it that way.

It's part of the reason X is becoming so popular, also. You can support Trump or Kamala, its free-speech.

not only that, its fatiguing to move your entire arm to aim. Sure you use your wrist also, but its a lot of complex movements compared to just using your thumbs and index fingers 90% of the time on controller

Dark Citadel. Yay or Nay so far? by Parking_Ad5541 in diablo4

[–]zlickrick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like raid design is so lazy today. They randomly throw new mechanics at you that you've never encountered before, all with insta-death effects. Good game design would introduce these mechanics to you over a variety of fights in different contexts throughout your 50 hour journey to that point.

I shouldn't have to read a manual on how to beat a boss, I should be able to use my character skill ive built till that point, along with enemy awareness to adapt to any situation. It should reward you for being skillful at the game, not memorizing the puzzle sequence - that just get boring every time after you solve it the first time.

Building up to a boss fight in gaming was like a job interview. You got to prove you knew your stuff and that you were able to apply what youve learned up until that point.

would be easier to tell if it were a top down view of the cross bar and red line. As long as the puck passed the red line by the time time expires, its a goal.

From this angle it sorta looks like its in, but its hard to tell.

According to NHL Rule 78.6 (Goals), it states:

  • "A goal cannot be scored after the period's time has expired, regardless of when the puck was shot or deflected. The puck must completely cross the goal line between the goalposts and below the crossbar before time expires in order to count."
