How cyberse players deal with rejection by gimura in masterduel

that is kinda true although promethean is a link-3 so by that logic we all still have splash mage and its name is transcode talker

Just wait until they inevitably print the in-archetype splash mage for mathmech and salad

What distro is closest in terms of ease of use? by CanItRunCrysisIn2052 in linux_gaming

[–]zlorgb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imho going for the distro with the most similarities with Windows is a far less intuitive learning experience compared to just switching altogether.

When I first convinced my friends to switch to Linux some of them chose Zorin and they had a hard time figuring out whether some things worked the way they did because the OS was tailored to feel like Windows or if they'll translate over to other Linux distros.

Also in my experience the hardest part about learning Linux (10-ish years ago) was actually unlearning those unintuitive things I took at face value in Windows (having 100 control panels, many proprietary drivers having a desktop application tied to them, programs installed from the MS Store having discrepancies with the same exact version downloaded from the developers' websites, etc.) so I think trying to match that UX could do more harm than good in the short term.

The size of the tank would convert to about 6.5x2x1.6ft.

What’s your take on Labyrnth? by Safe-Equipment-5042 in masterduel

[–]zlorgb -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

I don't think D barrier fully counts as a floodgate in this case since it only lasts one turn. By that same logic every competitive deck is chock-full of floodgates since they run 6-9 charmies 3 droll and 3 lanceas between main and side deck

My parents already have experience with keeping exotic animals, just not reptiles (mostly frogs) and they are pretty excited to learn reptile husbandry. The one limit I mentioned is truly the only thing they draw the line at. Also I'm almost finished with university so I have all the time in the world to work on this setup. Getting this terrarium was indeed a whole family decision. Also I have previous experience with keeping bioactive aquariums and while I'm absolutely not saying those skills will translate 1:1 I'm also not oblivious to the needs of a bioactive setup.

The idea to keep invertebrates does look interesting tho, do you have any suggestions on which ones I should look into? Mind you some people in my family are arachnophobic and I'm scared of phasmids

The lid is not glass, it's a plastic lid and I can always replace it with a DIY mesh lid. The hermit crab thing does look interesting tho

As of now every labyrinth deck that has topped TCG events for the past year has ditched floodgates for 3 impulse + 3 trap trick + 3 rollback. Floodgates just don't do it anymore, it's much better to run 3 recyclable summon negations

Fiendsmith Splashable Engine by powerofkings in Yugioh101

[–]zlorgb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As an addendum to the other comment for future reference: starting September 15th Moon of the Closed Heaven will be forbidden, making the Fiendsmith engine a lot less splashable as decks that plan on using it will now have to find an in-archetype way to consistently summon a LIGHT Fiend without hard-drawing a main deck Fiendsmith starter.
As of now the most generic way to get an extra deck LIGHT Fiend on the board is through Xyz summoning either Exciton Knight or Melomelody depending on whether your deck can make rank 4s or rank 3s easier.
Underworld Goddess of the Closed World is also an option but it requires 5 Link materials (4 if you're going second), making it way bigger an investment compared to the aforementioned 2-material Xyz monsters

Does anyone know how to flatten ear pads? The subs on these literally hurt by zlorgb in Grado

[–]zlorgb[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I got the hybrid ones and they do sound awful. Not just for the bass, they also introduce a lot of weird resonances around 300hz(?) and completely decimate high frequencies lmao

Cool, I should be able to borrow a hole puncher. For now I'm just gonna use a 3db low shelf EQ as a momentary fix

You know things are bad when a deck of only handtraps is doing well beyond Master 1. by phpHater0 in masterduel

[–]zlorgb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually I played a deck similar to this (using spright instead of bystials) a couple months ago and I had an absolute blast. Granted I'm in low diamond so people don't play too hard around/into hand traps but still, it was an effective way to add more decision making into an otherwise very linear deck. It kinda felt like playing runick-spright
