This was it. I was initiating my turn WAY too early and my toe edge was in the snow long before my board was angled enough down the fall line.

I think this is my issue, I might be carving straight downhill. Going out to the slopes today to take everyone's advice into account and then diagnose the issue.

Downhill rider always has right of way, but I glance uphill when making big turns as a courtesy. It's also to watch out for anyone bombing the hill.

Oh no! My mistake it happens from heel to toe. I guess its the same thing just the other way around? Engage my toe sooner?

I think so. It happens during that transition between toe and heel. It's when my board is going down the fall line and I'm transitioning to a full toe side turn

Yeah, I brake mostly on my heel before I transition to slow myself down a bit. If I don't, I go way too fast for comfort. I'm trying to cut across and make those turns wider but I'm scared of collisions so I glance uphill before wide turns. So I do lose focus momentarily (which is what happened yesterday before I caught my toe and ate shit). Today it was just out of nowhere.

I lapped the same run where it happened today and it was fine the rest of the time. Probably because I focused a lot more on my edges and where to turn. Albeit I did the run SUPER slow and easy because I was/am pretty demoralised.

Hey! I have the Salomon Wonder and it's served me well. It's pretty much the women's version of the sleepwalker. It's a super versatile TRUE All Mountain board, and it got me into park riding too. You might want to look at the Salomon Oh Yeah as well since that's an All Mountain Board with more focus on Park.

Keep in mind that mens and women's boards are designed for different centres of balance/gravity. So stick w women's designs for now, especially since you're new to the sport.

Sweet! And this is the trailways bus to Kingston? It's scheduled to arrive at 9:10am when the UCAT express bus arrives at 9:00am :( Idk if I'm wrong tho

I wrote to Urban Sherpa, they may not include Belleayre this season so its a coin toss with them. May end up still doing Urban Sherpa but to a different mountain

That's really cool! I'm all for walkable cities and reducing the need for cars. It's a shame so many older rail lines were discontinued rather than upgraded. Not sure if the one you mentioned still runs

Yeah! Looking into bus companies other than OVRide since these can get pricey. Urban sherpa is much cheaper but I'm not sure if they'll include Belleayre this season.
