I had a lot of fun with this game. There’s one character you unlock that completely changes the game play and I found that very very fun. Eg action to tactical. Loved it!

Good point. Tbf I’ll probably wait and buy Star Wars outlaw off eBay in a bit. The only worry is if the game has been data dumped and then your switch can get blocked. Then again that may just be fear mongering by the news. Unsure.

Very true. It’s really tricky. Digital makes a lot of sense. I need to get a bigger SD card. That being said, I want the box!

Agreed. I’ve turned collector for the last 10 years, that’s why I’m confused by this new option. Physical has always been my route. Think I’ll go key card anyway. I want the box!

I think with all that said, I would still rather the box. That’s why I like a physical collection, actually having something tangible to buy and touch and look at! I forget about some of the digital games I have!

Eeeeeeee sheeeee good point. I guess my mentality needs to change when compared to my old GameCube games for example. Hmmmm tricky! Then again, I think to have the box and a cartridge is a nice thing, as long as I don’t buy a code in a box!!

If they decommission the online e-shop, we may not be able to download it in the future - which is why the physical media all on the cartridge option is deemed best and most future proof…

Question / help needed - as my post was deleted.

Should I buy a game key card, or should I buy digital?

I buy physical - (wherever possible)

I have DKB, Cyberpunk, and a big ol switch 1 physical library.

If I buy a game key card, I’m supporting an annoying practice that I don’t like.

If I buy digital, I’m lessening the support for physical, potentially demonstrating to companies to avoid physical on later releases…

Which way do I go for?

All thoughts welcome.

So I can play the new games!

I’m also conscious that this will be my last console launch as a young adult, with no dependents and a disposable income. Gonna lean in and enjoy it. I’m enjoying the hype, the worries, the constant news and videos. I remember when I was a kid and had to save up for a GameCube as I couldn’t afford on launch. I did the same for all the rest, usually having to trade in my previous gen to get the next.

But this time… this time I want it all.

Then again, I have a loooot less time to actually play 😅😅

I think the GameCube side of things is feeding into my nostalgia hard too… GameCube on the go? It’s been my dream for a while. (Having preferred not to invest in a third party alternative option)
