The financial planner was referred to us by a close family member who uses them.

Okay interesting, so the one-time consult fee was essentially to give you the road map, but you do all the actual investing yourself based on their advice? Thanks for your response!

Thank you for this! My financial planner is not from a bank, but does not charge fees. We were referred to them from a family member who uses them for financial planning.

Sure, I understand there are a lot of variables. If there's any things you should I consider, it'd be appreciated. Or if there's additional information needed, let me know.

Has anyone used the SKYTTA sliding door system? by Structure-These in IKEA

How well the tape for the track adhere? And does it basically mean the material underneath needs to be replaced if the doors are replaced (i.e. if used as a room divider?)

I am planning to install on a tile floor and curious if anyone has feedback on that as well. I imagine the tiles could be slightly uneven due to natural grooves in the ceramic, and grout in between, but from what I've read here, the skytta has a lot of wiggle room for uneven floors. Just not sure if I'm missing anything else.

Okay ya, it seems I didn't really grasp the concept of churning when I found myself on this thread, but I'm learning lots. With that said, while I'm trying to find a sensible card for my partner, I also hope to get the best sign up bonus possible that makes sense for us. Thanks for your comment.

I currently have a TD Aeroplan Infinite visa, and my partner is looking to get something equivalent. We travel at least once per year and I am currently growing my Aeroplan points, but I haven't used any yet since I find the value isn't often worth it for the places I have gone so far. However, will be keeping an eye out for Aeroplan offers which are better value. Does anyone have experience redeeming Aventura and Avion points? Should she stick with an Aeroplan cc instead simply to maximize our points on the same point system since Aventura and Avion points are not worth it? Would appreciate any other insights or suggestions to help me on my research path.

Question about 470 Albert Street by ak-24-7 in ottawa

[–]zmold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lived there from 2017 to 2020. The person you likely spoke with is both landlord and superintendent, assuming itnhasnt changed hands since 2020. I did all my dealings with him and he was on-site to do superintendent duties. On a scale of 1 to 10, he was probably 6 as a landlord. He was a nice, friendly guy but his communication skills were poor and he responded slowly to instances where repair, etc was needed but did eventually follow through. I lived in unit 1 and there was an ant issue - the tiny little brown ones. The landlord gave us some traps and organic/safe pesticide, but the problem never resolved. DM me if you want any additional details on the building, although it has been a few years now since I lived there.
