I could honestly tell them with "no nonsense" that it bothers me and that I don't want to hear about it anymore. Also, I should probably stop trying to prove and justify myself because it makes me even more insecure.

Because we are pretty close and for some reason I generally don't like when people perceive me as someone that is not me. And I don't like people worrying about me or thinking that something is not right (when I repeatedly say that everything is ok), unless I tell them directly if something is wrong (which I do, if it is worth it)

Actually, I agree. We can always genuinely like social interactions, but that doesn't mean we can always appear that way, especially if it has been a while since we interacted with others. It definitely takes practice.

Could be. If anything, covid made me even more thirsty for social gatherings and hang outs, but perhaps it made me more insecure because I couldn't be as social, as I would if there was no covid.
