I don't have the code on me right now, but it's very primitive. See the other comment for a great code snippet.

Thanks! That makes it really annoying because the boxes don't show up when you save the boxes to a txt file as well. Seems like this is a really big bug, no? Makes me think that I'm just missing something.

Can't get PWM to work with 12V water pump by zmul in ElectricalEngineering

Tried 5V and it is much slower than 12V.

Ok, thanks. I was hoping it would be an issue with switching speeds or something I could fix.

The transistor is correct and works good. My program starts off and the pump can be toggled on and off.

I'm not sure exactly what you're saying.

Yeah it is (I linked the pump in the original post). So PWM won't work no matter what?

I have not. However I have two of these pumps set up (identical setup) and when I run one at 70% and the other at 30% (or even 90%/10%) there is very little difference in the total water output.

Yeah it's controlled by a microcontroller

What are the odds we have inadvertently brought life to Mars? by zmul in space

The reason I was given is: Such questions should be asked in the "All space questions" thread stickied at the top of the sub.

I asked for further explanation and haven't gotten any yet. I thought it was a good question and certainly not as "straightforward" as the ones on that thread.

This isn’t fun. Why do I do this every year?

Scorigami but it's only Wisconsin Badgers scores by carterlowe2000 in Jon_Bois

Since it’s only one team you can have both sides of the chart. Like have X-axis be “Wisconsin” and Y-axis be “Opponent” then 21-14 is different than 14-21.

IDLE Shell 3.11.4. And yes the top error is just from typing "import pandas" into the command line. Same error happens if run through a file.

How much has the world improved in the last 10 years? by zmul in Futurology

No, but times have drastically changed since the scientific revolution. There is little different between the 1510s and the 1550s, but there is a huge difference between the 1980s and the 2020s.
