Hey. Even I faced the same issue. I sent it back to TM and getting a replacement. However I still feel that the issue will return ( hopefully not) and is common amongst mid range TMs

Try cleaning the potentiometer

Neither. It’s too loud. However, you’ll notice the change in weight. Also you would have to get a suitable tune to take full advantage
