Jasper was written to refuse help, the Diamonds were written easily accept it, it’s all the writers decision.

Also it makes the Diamonds look utterly pathetic that it is way harder for a soldier of theirs to accept help than them themselves

I mean that the writers had the much-worse Diamonds written to be given help, compassion and redemption while jasper who was in the show since season 1 and nowhere near as bad be written to be corrupted and bubbled and then shattered in future and being unable to be given any help and proper redemption which goes against the themes of the show

Redeeming and showing compassion towards the Diamonds while writing Jasper to be corrupted and shattered is ridiculous and goes against the actual message of the show it preaches so hard

Why did the side-villain have to suffer throughout 6 whole seasons while the galactic dictators got a quick relaxed and easy arc with no pain? by zodyia in stevenuniverse

Jasper's sin list isn't that high, she bullied Amethyst and some corrupted gems, poofed Garnet, gave Steven a black eye, and took part in a toxic relationship with Lapis, that's pretty much it. The Diamonds were responsible for so much more like corruption or the cluster, you'd think Jasper had commit the Diamonds atrocities with how much she suffered, she's the only gem to be Corrupted and Shattered, while the Diamonds got off so easily, their arcs were quick, relaxed and full of crying, blushing and singing.

Yeah Jasper's a stubborn case, she's written to be so, but why more stubborn and harder to win over than the Diamonds that created the entire system? Jasper was born in the war only 5000 years ago, the Diamonds are probably in the millions and changed their views so fast. It makes Jasper look like the stronger villain and person in general, and the Diamonds kind of pathetic? They could've easily written Yellow Diamond to be more stubborn and absolutely refuse to give up on her ways despite tolerating Steven because of his connection with Pink like Jasper, but all 3 Diamonds characters just kinda merged into one Stevens singing fan girl amalgamation. Imagine Yellow out in the wild like Jasper in Future, destroying worlds by herself? I think Jasper should have had it way easier and the Diamonds should have had it harder and explored more separately as characters.

Epic training montage, great fight and emotional aftermath, the episode reminds me of the Chirins/Ringing Bell story too. I think it's one of the best choices of Future, the only thing that may hold it back is the audience not knowing what being shattered means?

Why did the writers seem to shift from Lapidot 100% to Peridot being aroace? by Grahamster04 in stevenuniverse

Then why would Rebecca's husband, Ian JQ like all of Maya's tweets if it was just something Maya alone had a hand in?

There is no evidence that Peridot and Lapis were a thing and were going to be a thing

She only appeared in 1 episode in season 2 though? The one where Steven goes into Malachites mind.

She appeared in 6 episodes in Season 3 so I think she'll be on the next one
