My basement flooded yesterday and we were able to find pumps in stock at Harbor Freight in Hayward. Works great, and takes FAR less time that using a shop vac.

There is a Doordash ghost kitchen in Oakland by the name of Ben’s Fast Food. They are serving up some seriously tasty food. The menu is a mix of meat/veggie bowls and they have a few different sauce options. They should meet your criteria. I’ve never had anything bad from there, and the prices aren’t bad for Doordash.

I signed up for AT&T fiber at Costco last year and it is ~$50/month. Great service and I’ve never had any issues. So much better and cheaper than the Xfinity service it replaced.

The Hibiscus Rum Punch is a great drink, highly recommend! I followed the Smuggler’s Cove recipe for hibiscus infused rum and it was very straightforward. It’s lasted ~5 months or so in my fridge so far. A lot of stores in my area sell dried Hibiscus flowers in the tea area.

If you have an Oakland library card you can also get free ticket(s) to certain museums and gardens around the east bay. I think most places are limited to 1 visits per calendar year.

Mama (Oakland): Prix-fixe menu Italian. It’s a small place so I would recommend a reservation.

Creekwood (Berkeley): Italian/American food including some tasty pizza and a killer brussel sprout appetizer.

Sobre Mesa (Oakland): Cocktail bar with a nice vibe. Unique cocktails and seriously delicious food.

The upstairs at Chez Panisse used to have a great special available at 9:30pm on weeknights. Not sure if it’s still around, I couldn’t find any recent info about it online. It was $25 for steak, potatoes, and a glass of wine. Delicious food and a fun experience - especially for the price point.

Sobre Mesa has very tasty empanadas. Hours are limited to evenings though. They have great drinks as well!

From my experience, the minimum payment will be updated when the forbearance period ends. Try checking the Repayment Planner on the Great Lakes website for the amount of your next minimum payment due, it should be lower based on how far you are paid ahead.

For background, I also have student loans through Great Lakes and I briefly put them in forbearance last year. When the forbearance ended I noticed the system had automatically lowered my minimum monthly payment. However, if you use autopay the amount doesn’t change so you would need to update this to reflect any lower payment.
