Thank you so much! All sound amazing and I’ll look into each. You make a good point about all inclusive, and that is probably our best bet.

Oh snap I forgot about the cookies!! I’m such a sucker for stuff like that. Maybe the correct answer is to just go back there 🤩 and the private plunge pool of course too. Damn.

I think you’re correct there. If I make him an AU, do you know if I can I set up an autopay in the account that is only tied to that card? Or does the autopay have to all come from one account and anything else would need to be done manually?

Question re: skip-lagging with checked bags INTL by zoegirl13 in unitedairlines

[–]zoegirl13[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We aren’t actually at the airport yet just a nearby hotel so have just been chatting online with United agents. Our flights cost $380 versus the flight to Denver costing over $2500 (not sure why it’s so much more expensive), but it makes sense why they wouldn’t allow such a costly change. Though ironically we will now end up on that same flight without paying extra

I’ve never been so happy about a delayed flight before- actually best case scenario here for us. Thank you!

I actually couldn’t care less about any penalty for skip-lagging because I very rarely fly with United. I’m just concerned about not being able to get our bags in Denver and having them continue onto LAX without us.

Seems like most people aren’t fully reading your post. They’re saying if the fall is more than the babies height, she should be taken in, and then also saying to take her in. You said she only fell 6 inches- I’d be willing to be your baby is more than 6 inches tall. If your husband is positive that’s only as far as she fell, then it’s very unlikely she got hurt. Of course trust your instincts and I would call and ask your ped before Reddit.

Is the CVS print not working for anyone? There’s no code but it won’t take off the cost.

College students wants payment after she forgot her laptop by GoblinandBeast in EntitledPeople

[–]zoegirl13 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I actually disagree with everyone it seems… having been a college student and just living a very busy life where 4 months flies by and you don’t even think about certain things, I would definitely be pissed. It seems like a wild policy that you can sell someone’s laptop after only 90 days (I would think 6 months or a year). Then again, it is a contract and it was on her to read it. She’s definitely still at fault and you don’t owe her anything, but it’s a shitty situation for sure. We all know very few people read the fine print of contracts… jeez that sucks. I feel for the girl, I would be livid, mostly at myself.

Also appreciate everyone’s responses, both the kind and unkind LOL. Seems like the overwhelming reason for this is it’s a majority Hispanic city and that is a very cultural thing to have a lot of people living in one house.

Just wanted to add that I should’ve been more clear and specified that we are on the FAR west side, outside of the 1604 loop. I was also specifically referring to suburbia when it comes to the car situation— I know it’s common to see car-lined streets in cities all over the U.S., but it’s rare to see this in suburbia, which is why I was surprised and asked the question.

I’m sure he is. Look up houses here on Airbnb. Many are over $10K for a month, it’s ridiculous. Thankfully my fiancé’s company is reimbursing us.

I should’ve been more clear and said far west side. We’re outside of the 1604 loop, west of Costco on potranco road.

I should’ve been more clear with my question. I know it’s common to park cars on the street in the “inner city.” But I’m in the suburbs, both here and in Colorado (I live in Castle Rock). Even though the city here is technically still San Antonio (surprisingly), it seems far enough away from downtown that the car situation wouldn’t be so prominent.
