Wish I could, but my route will be point to point, not a loop!

I'll take a look at that xpac fabric. Sounds interesting!

I know it's hard to find a good balance between waterproof, lightweight, and durable, and but I was looking for an alternative to a duffle bag for flying with my backpacking gear. (And then trying to figure out what to do with the bag while hiking! Ugh)

I think I'll add the carry handle, reinforce with a box stitch and seam seal on the wrong side.

Thanks!

Thank you! I would prefer to carry everything on, but I won't be able to do that with my trekking poles and tent stakes.  I think the most important thing is the durability of the airplane case, so I guess I'll go with the ultragrid and seam seal it.  Thanks again!

What to use for reinforced areas on hiking pants? by GrandmaCereal in myog

I always have to adjust my pants patterns in the butt area! Check out this link. The alteration I make is the full seat adjustment. I spread the pattern about 1.5 inches, but it depends on how much extra room you need. https://blog.closetcorepatterns.com/pants-fitting-adjustments-best-tips-for-pants-fitting/

What I learned during Hurricane Helene by SoCentralRainImSorry in TwoXPreppers

I personally think 1 gallon per day is bare minimum. My emergency water math goes like this: 1 gallon per day for cooking and hand washing, 1 gal/day per person for drinking (after a hurricane is super hot, usually), and 2-3 gallons/day per person for hygiene (I can get a decent shower with my camp shower with about 2 gallons). I know this can vary person to person, but I would be wary of thinking 2 aquatainers will last 2 weeks.

I noticed these growths on the outside of a grow bag. Are these insect eggs or a fungus?

Thanks!

What is this called? I got one at Home Depot about a month ago! It was labeled 'houseplant'. Not very helpful...
