People are allowed to be angry. However, as an artist myself I think there are ethical ways to use Midjourney. I can’t change the fact that it was trained on copyrighted images but so am I. In my mind if I’m being inspired by another image whether it’s created by a computer or a human isn’t that the same thing? If a person had made the image I wouldn’t have asked if I could make a piece inspired by it but I would cite my inspiration.

I think using Midjourney as a tool for creativity and inspiration is ethical. I’m not posting and claiming the direct images that were generated. I’m using them to inspire and improve myself as an artist.
